Ryo and Akira had just asked if you wanted to have a movie night with them, as it had been a while since you all could get together and relax.
Even though you were all roommates you had all been too busy to have some time for yourselves, so this was a perfect opportunity for that.
The two of them were about to go to the kitchen and make some popcorn and bring some snacks but you beat then to it, rushing over to the kitchen and opening the bag seal of the popcorn open.
As you put the popcorn in the microwave you look at the two of them with a frown on your face as they chat happily on the couch, you wished that was you.
Why couldn't it be you.
You knew it was his decision, but you only hoped that maybe in another life, things would be different?
The two of them chatted on the couch as they waited for you to bring the snacks.
Quickly, you grab the popcorn and run towards the couch. Trying your best to keep the happy expression on your face as you see them both grabvfor the popcorn and seeing Akira looks at Ryo with a grin.
You look to the side, not even at the TV, and think about how things could be.
Ryo grabs onto you, a small smile set on his face as he looks at you.
"Are you liking the movie?"
"Oh, uh, yeah. It's good." You say and try to concentrate on the movie.
Ryo look at Akira with a confused face, they both knew that's not how you usually talked, something was off.
It was so obvious he was trying to get closer to you in that moment, how did you not notice? Ryo asked himself.
Ryo wasn't one for talking, but he defenetly showed his emotions through actions.
So him grabbing onto you was not something he did to just everyone.
He shook the thought away and continued to watch the movie with Akira and you by his side, trying his best not to think about the way you were acting.
He knew you liked him, and he thought he had given you enough confirmation that he liked you back too but nothing seemed to work.
You were so oblivious yet he refused to confess.
Soon the movie had ended and you were going to your respective rooms to sleep.
Akira had long gone to his room saying something about needing to talk with someone urgently. Leaving you and Ryo sat on the couch.
You grab the bowl of popcorn as fast as possible so you had something to do but Ryo grabs your hand, placing his hand on your shoulder and pulling you onto the couch again.
"Talk to me." He says as he looks down at you, body now leaning over with a stern face.
"Its nothing Ryo, don't worry-" you try to move Ryo away but he doesn't budge.
Instead this time he sends you a glare, he knows something isn't right.
You sit there in silence as you try to come up with the courage to tell him, he only stands there and waits, knowing it might take a second.
"Do you- do you like Akira?"
Well that was certainly not what he expected to hear from you.
"Excuse me?" If looks could kill, you'd be 6ft under.
You eyebrows raise at his reaction, is he really shocked you would think that or is he pretending?
"I said, do you like Akira?" You repeat, this time more stern as you look up at him, still sitting on the couch.
He grabs at the back of the couch, now leaning over you and staring at you with a glare.
"You are such an idiot, did you know that?"
You looked like a fish out of the water, opening and closing your mouth repeatedly.
"I cant believe I like you" he says and leans away from you, now looking out the big window in your apartment.
What did he just say.
It repeated in your head over and over, maybe you had heard him wrong?
"What did you just say?" You ask as you stand up in front of him.
"Dont make me repeat myself, you know what I said"
Ryo looks at you again, arms crossed but the glare that was directed towards you was gone now and replaced with a more calm face.
"You like me?"
He only nods and waits for an answer, he acted so calm you envied him.
Your mind was going a million miles an hour, speeds that were probably non-existent, this man had you wrapped around his finger.
You can barely contain your excitement; "Ryo I like you too"
"I know"
Now it was your time to glare at him.
"Why didn't you confess earlier then?" You ask
Ryo walks closer towards you before slinging his arms over your shoulders; "I wanted to see how it would play out if you confessed instead"
He smiles 'innocently' before looking down at your lips and sees you do the same.
You both look at each other before you press your lips against each other, you tried to suppress the smile set on your face but nothing worked. Soon enough having to pull away from smiling so much.
The two of you part and Ryo grabs onto your pajamas; "Glad you finally noticed how much I liked you, let's go to bed now you idiot"
Soo enough you rested together in bed and snuggled up to each other before drifting off to sleep.
Just wait until you find out this was all planned by Akira, he couldn't stand to see you pining after each other for so long.
