3rd person POV
Harry woke up at 3 am screaming. He had luckily had enough sense to put up a silencing charm before he went to sleep. He hated all the nightmares he had any time he closed his eyes it seemed like they were haunting him. He got out of bed knowing that he wasn't going to sleep anymore that night and went for a little walk around Grimauled place. He walked down the stairs to the kitchen. When he walked in he saw Sirius sitting at the table with a glass of water in his hand. Harry hadn't expected to see anyone their was so many people in the house that once he reached the main floor it got a lot more difficult to tell where people were and who they were. The smells tended to blend together.
"Hey Harry" Sirius said after taking a sip of his water.
"Hey" Harry said getting over his shock and getting a glass out of a cabinet to get himself some water.
"What are you doing up." Sirius asked curiously.
"Nightmares. You?" Harry said asking the question back.
"Just needed a drink."
Harry nodded in response as he sat down across from Sirius.
"What was the nightmare about?" Sirius asked trying not to push too much.
"Oh nothing important just the Dursleys and the graveyard. I get them a lot but it's fine really." Harry said nonchalantly but not making eye contact.
"What Harry that is important."
"How" Harry asked confusing Sirius.
"How what"
"How is it important."
"Because you are important and what you've been through is not right for anyone to go through and you're just 14." Sirius tried to explain.
"Well I'm used to it so it's fine."
"No it's not fine no one should go through any of what you've gone through and you play it off as if it's normal."
"Well it is my normal. And I deserve it." Harry mumbled not really meaning for Sirius to hear. But of course he did.
"Look Harry you deserve so much but what's happened to you is not one of them."
"How am I supposed to believe that if that's what I've been told my whole life." Continuing to look down.
"Harry I don't know everything that you've been through but I know what it feels to believe that you deserve all the bad things. I was abused too I know what it's like. Mine wasn't as bad as yours but that's not the point the point is that I didn't deserve what happened to me and you don't deserve what happened to you. Ok" Sirius said trying to get Harry to look him in the eyes.
Harry nodded in response. He got up, dumped the water that he didn't drink in the sink, washed the cup and put it back.
"Thanks Sirius." Harry said while giving a small smile and walking out of the kitchen.
Once out he went back to his room and got out his drawing book. He started to draw a picture he started yesterday. He knew he wasn't going back to sleep so he decided he would continue to work on it and maybe some others he hadn't yet finished.
(Time skip)
Harry didn't know what time it was or how long he had been drawing but he had finished two drawings and it was light outside so it was at least 6 in the morning.
The first was of Remus and the second was a wolf he had seen while escaping from the wolfblood hunters.
He checked his alarm clock and saw it was 6:30 so he decided to take a shower and get ready for the day.
