Bakugou's... gone deaf. He was warned too many really loud explosions could do this, but he wasn't prepared for this. It didn't even happen in a fight or anything. He was just practicing in class one day, and let off an average sized explosion. It got much bigger than he meant for it to be, and he was thrown back into the wall, knocked out.
The next day Aizawa tells everyone that Bakugou has gone deaf due to a quirk malfunction, and to be sensitive about the topic. He also mentions that Bakugou has completely refused hearing aids. Class goes on as normal once Bakugou sits down, except Aizawa writes everything he says on the board for the male.
