So, we're gonna add a little something to the soulmates au. Polyamorous soulmate bonds are possible, but uncommon. Not to the point that it's a massive deal when they exist, but enough to raise some eyebrows. The soul mark for a poly bond can take one of two different forms: one mark with two colors in the center, with the same one outline, or multiple marks, always placed symmetrically on one's body. (i.e, on each wrist, on opposite sides of one wrist, on shoulders, etc.) Communication can be among all soul mates, one just has to tap the color of the one they want to talk to, or tap the whole mark to talk to all soul mates.
Furthermore, when a soulmate dies, the other partner(s) feel an unbearable physical ache in their chest, and can become bedridden for days, weeks, even months. The mark doesn't go away, though, it just remains as is.
Aizawa Shouta, Shirakumo Oboro, and Yamada Hizashi are one such bond. They've known it since they revealed their marks to each other, a single two colored mark over the heart. Aizawa's color is dark grey, Yamada's is the color of his eyes, and Shirakumo's is the color of his hair.
When Shirakumo died, Aizawa and Yamada were heartbroken. Neither was ever the same. They still loved each other, but Aizawa became even more closed off, and Yamada hid behind his vibrant personality.
What happens when one day, the pair, while in separate locations, feel a tap on their soul marks, followed by Shirakumo's color turning a mottle of its original color and a dark purple?
I would like to be Aizawa, and to not be Yamada. It's up to you who is Shirakumo, but if I'm him, I fully intend to make him a little different in personality (that's kind of the point of the mark color change).
