Aaron and I have been broken up for a while. It's one of the hardest things I've ever endured, but I know things will only get harder before they get better. I've texted him everyday, and he texts me. We talk just like best friends, we just don't act like a couple anymore, but Madi and Taylor's wedding is in just a few weeks, so I have more important things to worry about. I think the planning for that is all done. Madi and I are wanting to make a trip back home to see her parents before the wedding. They've both said that they wish they could make it, but they've got somewhere to be. How wherever they're going is more important that their only daughters' wedding beats me. She wants to see them one last time while she still has their last name, so we are flying out there in two days. Thinking of this, I went to ask Madi something.

"Hey, Mads," I said, walking in.

"Hey, what's up?" she asked.

"I was wondering," I sat down, "do you think I'll get to see my parents? At least once."

She smiled, "I don't see why not."

I smiled back, "That's all I wanted."

"Hey, Kenna," she said as I was leaving. I turned around to see her.

"Do you think you'd want to see if Aaron wants to come?" she asked. "I know you guys broke up, but he has wanted to meet your parents for as long as you two dated."

This was true. He's always asked about meeting my parents, and I've always made up an excuse about why he just couldn't. I guess I owed it to him.

"That's a great idea," I said, "I'll go call him right now."

"Tell him we can get him a ticket if he's gonna come," she said, "since it's so sudden."

I nodded and walked back into my room. With the door closed, I pulled my phone out and dialed the familiar number. After three rings, I heard his voice.

"Hello?" Aaron said.

"Hey," I slightly smiled hearing his voice.

"Hey, ba-Kenna," he said.

I frowned, "I was wondering something."

"That's never good."

We both laughed, "Do you want to come to Alabama with Madi, Taylor, and I the day after tomorrow?"

He hesitated, probably contemplating the question, "Any reason?"

"Not really, just wanted you to come," I lied, kind of.

I could tell he smiled, "I'd love to come, but I don't think I can get a ticket right now."

"Madi said she can get you one since I asked on such short notice," I explained.

"Well, I'm not gonna deny a free vacation," he said.

I smiled, "Awesome! So, I'll see you this weekend?"

"See you this weekend," he said.

"Okay," I smiled again, "well, I better get going. I gotta pack."

"I guess I do, too," he said.

"Might want to," I said.

"How long are we staying?"

"I think just from Friday to Monday."

"Okay, I'll pack," he said.

"I'm gonna tell Madi to call you about the ticket information and stuff because I'm bad with it."

He chuckled, "That's fine, I understand."

I chuckled, "Alright, well I gotta for for real now. I'll talk to you soon. Text me later."

"Expect a text," he said.

"I will," I smiled. "Bye Aaron."

"Bye, Kenna."
