I gasped, holding my hands up to my mouth. Madi was already in tears. She knew what was happening the minute he kneeled down, and Aaron knew what was happening the entire time. She was speechless for a second because she was crying. Taylor was smiling so hard, probably because he already knew she was going to say yes. By now, people had noticed what was going up. Some started paying attention when Taylor stood up.
"Yes, of course," Madi said.
Taylor slipped the ring onto her left hand. She swung her arms around his neck as he stood up. They hugged and shared a kiss before sitting back down. The other people in the restaurant were clapping, smiling, and some even taking pictures.
"Hey, I have a YouTube video to make now," Madi sniffled, wiping the running makeup off her face.
We laughed. Taylor was shaking a little bit, but Aaron and I were both smiling.
"Let me see!" I said.
Madi held our her left hand and I examined the diamond on her hand. It was big and beautiful.
"What kind of ring is it?" I asked Taylor.
"I believe it's a 1.52 carat diamond platinum ring," he said.
Madi looked at him, "Oh my God. How much did it cost?"
"Not much," he shrugged his shoulders and smiled.
"We need a number," Aaron smirked.
"Only 22," he said.
"Only 22 hundred dollars? That's a little much. I feel bad," Madi said.
"No, 22 thousand," Taylor corrected.
"22 THOUSAND DOLLARS?" Madi whispered loudly.
Taylor nodded his head, "And you are worth every penny."
"Okay, I may be worth some money but no 22 thousand dollars," she said.
"I think you are."
She blushed, kissing his cheek.
"If you ever decide you're gonna pull something like this and propose to me," I said to Aaron, "don't spend 22 thousand dollars on me, please."
Taylor, Madi, and Aaron laughed.
"Don't worry," Aaron said, "you're not worth it anyways."
I hit his shoulder as he winked.

We got back home around 10:30pm. Aaron's flight was scheduled for 2:00am, and it was currently midnight. Madi and Taylor were in their bedroom, probably celebrating their new engagement. It was already trending on Twitter. #TaylorAndMadiAreEngaged
"@taylorcaniff: I liked it, so I put a ring on it. *picture*"
"@MaddisonMiller: I guess you could call me the soon-to-be Ms. Caniff now. 😍"
Aaron and I were laying in my bed, cuddled up under the blanket, hand in hand. My head was on his chest while his was resting on top of my head.
"I really don't want you to go," I said.
"That makes two of us," he said.
"Where do you see us in 5 years?" I asked him.
"Well, we'll be 22," he said, "so we should be living together in our own apartment here in LA, married, and with children."
"You really see us like that?" I smiled.
"That's what I want from you," he smiled, "that's all I want."
