- A Few Weeks Later -

Aaron and I had grown a lot closer. I came to find out that he was literally the male version of myself. We had the same interests, the same favorites, the same dislikes, the same views, and pretty much the same everything. That's not always a good thing, though, to be absolutely identical, but it was working out pretty good for us. You would think it would be completely awkward between us since we kissed, but there hasn't been a minute of awkwardness between us. We just both flow with whatever is happening. We hadn't kissed any other time after, but believe me, I wanted to. I just wish I could be with him, but him and Mahogany had also been getting real close lately, and it was almost hard to tell if they had something, or didn't, so I tried to keep my feelings to myself and not let them affect me. All I knew is that Aaron was my best friend, and I was determined to keep it that way.

"It's the weekend, and we are in Nashville," Nash said, "we need to go find something to do."

"Yeah, I agree," Taylor said, his arm around Madi's waist. "It's Music Capital. There's plenty of things to do."

"Let's just explore," Carter said, "and try not to get in trouble."

"Well," Matt spoke up, "at least not a LOT of trouble."

He winked and the boys kind of smirked.

"Then, let's get ready and go."

We headed up to our rooms and I got dressed. I threw on a blue tye-dye muscle shirt that read "Shut up and kiss me." I was also wearing blue, ripped skinny jeans and grey high-top Nikes. My hair was very loose, but curly. I grabbed my phone and headed back down to the lobby, meeting up with the rest of the group. We were all ready and headed out to the streets of Nashville.

-----

We split into groups, 7 in each. Nash, Cameron, Hayes, Jacks, Matt, and Carter in one. Leaving Madi, Taylor, Aaron, Mahogany, Jacob, Shawn, and myself. Madi and Taylor were talking with Mahogany, who was talking to Aaron. Shawn and Jacob were talking about God knows what. I was kind of, by myself, but that was okay. After traveling the streets for about 10 minutes, Shawn turned around and saw me alone.

"Kenna," he said.

"Shawn," I said back.

"Why are you alone?"

"Because I have no one to talk to. I'm texting Nash, anyways," I explained.

"Why aren't you talking to Aaron?" he asked.

Everyone just kind of assumed that Aaron and I were just so close, we were inseparable. That's half true. When Mahogany is out of sight, he's all about me.

"He'd rather talk to Mahogany, which is completely okay."

"Aw, that's not cool. You can talk to us," Jacob smiled, putting an arm around me.

"Yeah," Shawn did the same.

I smiled, "Okay. I don't want to intrude."

"Oh, no. We were just talking about music," Jacob said.

"As always," I smirked.

"Come on," Shawn said, slapping his thigh, "there's nothing better to talk about!"

"No, I agree! I love music," I said.

"Who's your favorite artist?"

"Ed Sheeran, by far," I answered Shawn.

"MINE TOO!" he grew excited, and Jacob laughed.

The three of us continued talking about music and everything else we could talk about.

About 5 minutes later, we found a restaurant to eat outside, so we went in and sat down. I wasn't too hungry, therefore I ordered a basket of fries to share amongst Jacob and myself, because he wasn't feeling too hungry, either.

As we were eating, I felt my phone in my back pocket vibrate. I pulled out the device and checked it. I had a few texts from Nash, and recently received one from Aaron.

From: Nash
Are u ok? I can come find u.

From: Nash
Ken? I don't mind.

From: Aaron
are you mad at me or something?

I rolled my eyes.

To: Nash
no, please. have fun. shawn and jacob are entertaining me. (:

To: Aaron
do I need to be?

I locked my phone, immediately feeling Aaron's eyes on me. I was sitting at a table with only Jacob. I felt his eyes on me, too. I looked up at him.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm fine. No need to worry," I smiled.

"Can I ask something?"

"Anything."

"Is there anything going on with you and Aaron?" he asked. "Like, are you two a thing?"

He wasn't the first one to ask.

"We are just really close best friends."

"You act like you hate each other," he chuckled, causing me to, as well.

"Nah," I replied, "I don't hate him. I just hate what he's doing."

"What is that, exactly?"

"I mean," I started, "we kissed a couple weeks back, and then nothing's happened from there. He's flirted with me, I've flirted back. We sleep in the same bed, we cuddle a lot, and we just act like a couple. Then he goes off with Mahogany and ignores me completely."

My phone vibrated.

"Is that him?" Jacobs voice was almost a whisper.

I checked my device, nodding my head.

From: Aaron
Is it because of Mahogany? because there's nothing going on.

To: Aaron
we aren't dating. what y'all do is none of my business anyways.

From: Aaron
We still best friends? ☺️

I smiled down at the phone. Of course I couldn't stay mad at him, even though I probably needed to. I took another French fry from the basket, popping it in my mouth.

To: Aaron
I guess so.. 😛

From: Aaron
Yay! 😄

-----

We made our way back to the hotel, in time to get ready for Magcon. I was wearing the same thing to the event that I was wearing now. I didn't feel like changing at all, so I just reapplied some makeup, brushed my hair, and walked out the door. We all were driven to the event, and did our usual line up.

When it was time for the meet and greet, Aaron and I set up right next to each other. This time, he was actually talking to me like I existed, and I admit, it was good talking to him. I loved it, honestly. He made me feel so secure, so comfortable. We met fans who would occasionally ask for both of us to take a picture, or to even record us saying a message to someone who couldn't afford, or didn't have time to come to the event, which I found adorable. Throughout the whole event, I could feel Aaron's eyes on me, or I would catch him smiling at me.

"What?" I asked, catching him.

"Nothing," he was smiling.

"Why are you smiling?" he made me do it.

"You're just," he stopped.

"Just?"

"Really good at doing what you do."

He wanted to say something else, I could definitely tell. I just couldn't figure out what it was exactly.
