Chapter 19

« after the tour »

Magcon was officially over, for good. None of us wanted to continue with it, so Bart decided to just end it and stop managing. We've moved on with our lives. Madi and I are back in Alabama, Taylor is back in Indiana, and of course, Aaron is back in Louisiana. All the boys were back where they lived, and it was different. It was going to take some getting used to. Our house stayed quiet for the longest time, which wasn't a usual thing. I went back to school online, and Madi had a job to attend. I needed to start looking for jobs, too, in order to keep up with paying bills. YouTube, of course, paid us for the content we posted, but for our status, it wasn't enough to survive on. I was sitting in my room doing my homework when I heard a bird noise, signaling someone texted me.

thinking about you. 🌸

I smiled.

To: Aaron
not a second goes by that you're not on my mind. 🌿

I sat my phone down next to me, continuing my courses. My phone buzzed every now and again signaling Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, or text messages. I turned my phone on overnight mode, meaning I won't get any notifications from anyone, unless it's an emergency call, and I finished my classes for today.

After I finished schooling, I went downstairs to go check up on Madi, but she'd already left for work. I pulled my phone out and sat on the couch, turning the TV on. It's been a few weeks since Magcon ended, and most of my days were like this now.. Boring. I got on Twitter to check things out.

"@taylorcaniff: I just want us all back together."

I favorited.

Taylor never tweeted me back. I knew he was joking, so that's why I was going a long with it. The fans were going crazy.

I was trying to think of ways to pass time and do something productive, so I decided to film a video. I got up, put some actual clothes on, did my hair and makeup, then set up my area. Once I set the camera and lights up, I sat down and decided on what I wanted to film. The perfect idea of an update video hit me. I pressed record.

"Hello, everyone! I'm Kenna, and you're watching GurlTube," I began, "so first things first, this is just an update video of the last few weeks, since I haven't been able to film, really. As you all know, I've been on tour for the last few weeks. It was honestly the best decision I've ever made in my life. I got to meet so many of you guys, and I made 12 new best friends that I'm going to keep in my life until the day I die. I saw many beautiful places like Chicago, Dallas, and Nashville, and it was just overall an amazing experience. I also met this boy named Aaron Carpenter, but he's kind of a loser, I don't know."

I smiled at the thought of Aaron, and I immediately knew I was blushing in the video. I continued talking about the tour and the people I met on tour. The video was around 6 minutes long after I stopped filming, but it should be a little shorter when I start editing it. I have to post on Monday, and today is only Thursday. I had some time before the next day I had to upload to get more work and editing.
