Aaron was leaving later tonight. It's been a few days since we decided that our relationship needed a lot of work in order to stay healthy, and so far, we're doing good. We've spent much more time together, and we've been much more involved with each other without being clingy. I'm having more faith in our relationship than I ever have. Tonight, Taylor suggested that we all go out to this fancy little restaurant downtown at 7:30pm, and it's currently 4:30pm. Madi and I told the boys we we're going to go shopping and the boys decided they would go rent tuxes for the night. Yeah, it was one of those restaurants. Currently, Madi and I have just walked in this store downtown that sells dresses for numerous occasions from prom, to weddings, to funerals.

"Hello!" the woman greeted us. "Is there anything I can help you lovely ladies with today?"

"Hi," Madi smiled, "we are actually going on a double date tonight with our boyfriends and we were wanting to get dresses."

"How romantic," she smiled, "we have a selection of dresses over here."

We followed her to a section of the store with dozens of dresses with dozens of colors. It was overwhelming, actually.

"You can search through these and see which ones you like, then try them on! If you need any help or guidance, my name is Michelle, just call it out, sweethearts!"

"Yes ma'am," Madi smiled, "thank you!"

I wasn't much of a talker in events like these.

-----

We searched through the dresses before we actually found the ones we wanted. I ended up getting a black Bardot neck panel skater dress, and Madi got a white laced one shoulder mini dress. She looked beautiful wearing it, especially with her having red hair. I thought I looked pretty good in mine, and I liked the way my dark hair looked with it, too. We paid around $200 for both of the dresses and told Michelle goodbye, and that we'd be sure to come back.

"What time is it?" she asked.

I pulled my phone out, checking the time, "Oh, my God. It's almost 7:00pm."

Her eyes grew wide as she looked at me, "Fuck, get the car started. Can you drive?"

"Yeah, give me the keys," I said.

She gave me the keys and I started the car. She put the dresses in the back seat and as soon as she got in I drove off.

We got back home at 7:15pm, thanks to LA traffic. We had 45 minutes to get dressed and ready.

"It'll take me 45 minutes to do my makeup, let alone take a shower, put on the dress, and makeup!" I said.

"Just don't shower. Throw on a lot of deodorant and perfume and we'll be okay," she said, changing out of her clothes.

The boys were home, and we could hear them in Taylor and Madi's room. Madi and I got dressed in my bathroom. She slipped into her dress and I did the same. She pulled out her makeup bag containing both mine and her makeup supplies. I put on foundation, concealer, lipstick, eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow. Madi put on the same, and then we started to do our hair.

"Time?" she asked.

"7:37pm," I said, "we're doing really good."

She started curling the ends of her red locks, and I was straightening my brown. It only took me about 15 minutes to straighten my hair, and about 20 for Madi. I slipped on my black ankle-boot heels. Madi finished her hair and came over to put on her stiletto designed pumps. We checked the time and it was 8:00pm.

"Girls, we gotta leave now!" Taylor said from downstairs.

"Shut up, we're coming," Madi teased.

Taylor chuckled.

We walked downstairs, Madi rushing. The boys were standing at the door in their suits. Both of them looked really good, but of course, I was focused on Aaron. I stopped walking, just looking at him. He was talking to Taylor before he looked over at me and smiled.

"Pictures will last longer," he said.

I snapped out of my daze, blushing. I walked over to him and took his hand.

"But for the record, I could look at you all day," he kissed my forehead.

We walked downstairs and sat in the car as Taylor drove to the restaurant.

-----

We were sat at a table together, luckily. We all wanted to be together tonight since it was Aaron's last night in LA.

"You look beautiful, girls," Taylor said.

"Thank you," Madi and I both said.

"Yeah, absolutely gorgeous," Aaron agreed.

Madi and I blushed.

"You two don't look bad yourselves," Madi said.

"Thank you, thank you," Aaron said.

"Yeah, Kenna literally couldn't take her eyes off Aaron," Taylor announced and I hit his arm, him laughing.

"This place is so nice," Madi said.

"Yeah, why did you decide we come here tonight?" Aaron asked.

"It's a special night. It's you're last night in LA," Taylor said, "I figured you'd want to spend it with your girlfriend and two best friends at a romantic dinner."

"Well, of course," Aaron said, smiling at me, "I'll take any chance I can to be with her."

I leaned my head on his shoulder, "I love you."

"I love you, too," he said.

"Madi," Taylor said, "can I ask you something?"

"Of course, anything," she said.

"And you'll answer honestly?"

"Always."

Aaron smiled widely, for what reason I'm not sure.

Taylor continued, "You know, I love the way you hold my hands. You're skin is so soft, and full of youth."

"I love the way you hold mine, too," she said.

Aaron whispered something to me, but I couldn't hear it.

"But you know," Taylor said, "beauty fades, passion dims, and times weathers every hand. So you're sweet and soft hands will one day be wrinkled, and I'll still love the way you hold mine."

"Aw, Taylor," she blushed.

"So my question to you is, will you, many years from now, still take my hands in yours? Will you still allow me to hold yours?"

"Baby, of course. I'll always let you hold my hand," she said, looking at him with a confused look.

"I figured you would," he smiled, "so you're saying you'll stay with me that long? Until our hands are wrinkled?"

"And forever after that," she said.

Taylor stood up.

"What're you doing?" she asked.

He knelt down in front of her chair, "I want to be with you until our hands can no longer hold anything else but the others, and for many years after that. Maddison Miller, will you marry me?"
