I set off to Taco Bell. Madi and I always got the same thing, Quasaritos. She liked sour cream, and I didn't. I gathered bag of food and the two Baja Blasts (hers Mountain Dew, mine Starburts) and drove off to her job. She works as a barista at our local Starbucks. Typical, I'm aware. I pulled up and walked in with the food. She immediately saw me and went to the break room, gesturing me to follow. Once we were in the small room, one of her co-workers passed us by, giving a dirty look.
"The hell is her problem?" I asked.
"She's a bitch, don't mind her," Madi replied, scavenging through the bag for her food.
Madi didn't play when it came to three things: her fans, her friends, her food. Friends include boyfriends, so that includes Taylor.
"How's your day been?" she asked through chews.
"It's been boring, and upsetting," I answered honestly.
"Boring I get, but why upsetting?"
"I was talking to Aaron-"
"Did he break up with you?" she interrupted.
"No," I assured her, "I just miss him a lot."
"Oh," she said, "I know. I miss Taylor like crazy. We'll see them again soon."
"Yeah," I sighed, taking a sip of my drink.

Madi and I continued talking about random things before her lunch break was over. I sat at one of the tables because I didn't want to go back home yet. I was just waiting on Madi to get off her shift, which wasn't long at all.
We drove our cars back home. Madi always parked hers in the driveway, mine in the garage. She went a lot more places than I did. I pulled in the garage hearing Madi's car pull in behind mine. I turned the ignition and pulled the key out. Walking up the stairs, I heard shuffling. I didn't think much of it, until I walked in. My heart sank, my palms immediately grew sweaty, and I dropped my keys.

I apologize that this chapter is short. I'm having writer's block because this is that boring section of the story. I promise I'll update longer chapters frequently whenever I start writing the eventful chapters, which are coming up. This book, I explained, is going to be completely different than the previous version. It's a better version, which means more work. On another note, Valentine's Day is coming up. I honestly don't care, but I'll write a cute chapter and upload it on that Saturday. On the final note, I'm writing another story, and I promise this one I am keeping up. I'm not giving anything away, no information or title or who it's for, anything. You'll find out when I post the last chapter of THIS book. If I make a part two, I'm not sure if I will, but I'll publish the book I'm writing now before I publish the sequel/prequel of this book. Anyways, that's all.
K bye.
