Kenna's Point of View

I woke in a bed next to my ginger best friend. She was asleep. The last thing I remembered was falling asleep in the back of Madi's mom's trunk along with Aaron. It didn't matter. Today was a big day, Aaron was finally going to meet my parents. I checked my phone and it was 8:40am, 6:40am in California. I got out of bed and accidentally woke Madi up. She opened her eyes and cringed them at the bright light coming in from the window above.

"You okay?" she muttered.

"I'm fine," I smiled. "Where are my clothes?"

"In your suitcase under the bed," she laid her head back down.

I searched under the queen sized bed and felt around for the handle. I found it and pulled it out and on top of the bed. Opening it up, I selected a simple tee-shirt and light wash skinny jeans. I threw those on and brushed my hair. I didn't put any makeup on.

"What're you doing?" she asked.

"Taking Aaron to meet my parents," I said, slipping on my Vans.

She sat up, "You can do it."

"I know," I said, "I'm just worried that he can't."

"Just talk him through it," she said, "it's not like they're not going to like him."

I chuckled, "I guess that's true. He has nothing to worry about."

"You'll do okay," she said, "and if you need me, text or call. I'll come down."

"I promise," I said, "but where are your old jeep keys? I don't wanna drive your moms SUV."

"Yeah, I wouldn't either," she said, "in that top drawer."

I pulled the keys out of the drawer, "I'll see you a little later."

"Hey," she caught my attention, "bring Taylor in here."

I smiled, rolling my eyes, "You got it."

I walked quietly towards the guests' room where the boys were staying. I saw Aaron was already dressed and on his phone, and Taylor was still half asleep.

"Taylor," I said, waking him up.

"What?" he mumbled.

"Get up," I said.

"Who's gonna make me?"

"Madi wants you in bed with her."

He slowly got up and walked away, smiling. Aaron and I laughed.

"Do you wanna go somewhere?" I asked him.

"Anywhere but here, please," he said.

"Alright, let's go."

"Wait," he paused, "right now?"

"Yeah, right now."

"Okay," he stood up and followed me out.

We went down and got in Madi's jeep. I started the vehicle and drove off.

"Where are we going?" he asked.

"To meet my parents," I said, turning roads.

"After all this time?" he got excited, I could tell.

"Yes, after all this time," I smiled.

"What if they don't like me?" he asked.

It was cute that he was getting nervous, but there literally wasn't any reason to be.

"They'll love you, it's 100% guaranteed."

I turned down the road we needed to be on. Aaron looked around. I looked over at him and read his clearly confused face.

"A graveyard?" he asked.
