Third Person's POV
"Where is hyung?" Beomgyu asked as he came back from school.
"He was stressed" Jungkook sighed and the latter understood what his papa meant.
Whenever Yeonjun was stressed he would go somewhere quiet and would be still for a time, letting the feelings of fear and sadness ebb and flow. Then, when he would be ready, he would count his blessings one by one. It turned him around, everyone close to him has seen it. After that he would rest some more until he would be ready to reface challenges.
These days have been pretty stressed for the aforementioned, college exams are approaching and Yeonjun had been working hard, studying and on top of that he would be graduating high school soon. He had less than 40 days now and he had been wishing into Seoul National University because of several reasons. First being that it was one of the best universities out there in Seoul, secondly he didn't want to move away, third he didn't want any distance between his family and friends also of course Soobin.
Yeonjun let out a slow controlled breath and attempted to loosen his body movements. He was walking like a clockwork soldier and that was no way to be in this neighbourhood. He gave his shoulders a wiggle and lolled his head in a circle, let his stride slacken to a more casual pace. It was a decent effort, enough to fool the casual observer, but for the onlooker with a keen eye he was a walking advert for tension. His eyes moved with the alertness that comes from heavy stress and his hands remained clenched by subconscious demand as he walked back home.
"Junie, come here" Jungkook called as Yeonjun was discarding his shoes.
"Not right now papa. I have to study" He quickly dismissed, nevertheless he left a quick kiss on his papa's cheek before walking to his room.
"He didn't even eat" Jungkook sighed and pout to himself.
He quickly went to warm up some dry fruit milk for his baby brat who was now indulged in his books once again. Although when Taehyung was back home, Jungkook shared his worry about Yeonjun and Taehyung had assured him that he would talk to him about taking it easy.
"There is a compromise between passion and directed studying that gets easier as one ages. I was, and still am, largely driven by my own creative passions and curiosities" That was the first thing Yeonjun said when Taehyung asked if he wanted to talk.
"There can be things you need to have a solid comprehension of that fall outside of your 'passion drive'. This is when self control becomes more important. There are times that doing the right thing is the harder thing to do. You need to be able to sit yourself down and learn a subject even though it feels more like work than play. This is all part of growing up, sure" Taehyung said and ruffled Yeonjun's hair before continuing,
"Yet it is also part of becoming a master at what you do, building in supporting knowledge that is more peripheral to your central aim. So, whilst it is negative to let directed study suppress your innate passions and creativity, it is also a negative to let your creativity rule the roost and not inform it with study. Balance is key, as ever. Don't let it get to you too much"
"Prepare well. I hope that the results would be great too" Taehyung said with a pat on the latter's shoulder.
"Yoongi hyung had once told me, even if it turns out that you didn’t do too well on the exam, there’s no need to feel so defeated. It may feel like your world is collapsing when you don’t get the results you want, but that’s not true. That’s not how our life works. In life, there are so many things that are much more important than that. More important than what college you go to, so take it easy. Work hard, sure but don't let it harm you negatively" Jungkook said as he stood by the door frame.
Yeonjun smiled gratefully and Jungkook quickly pulled him in a hug. Taehyung ruffled his hair once again.
"That's not fair, how come you all left me behind" Beomgyu whined as he entered his hyungs room to witness the soft moment.
Jungkook extended his hands to his baby boo and Beomgyu was quick to join in.
Yeonjun was now relieved, he was still nervous but not stressed anymore. ___________________________________ See you all in the next chapter. I hope you liked it.💜 Please vote and comment.☺ Keep supporting. And if there are any mistakes I am sorry for that. Stay safe and stay happy.💜💜
