Third Person's POV
It was hours later when Jungkook followed the sound of the sobs. It was Yeonjun, he knew. Although the boy never cried easily and the things that happened earlier must have triggered him. He sat on the damp grass right next to him in the garden and followed his gaze to the moon, saying nothing. Yeonjun wiped his nose with his sleeve and glanced his way.
"I failed you all twice, Papa. Twice! Why do you even bother?"
"Junie, I was the one who bought you in this world and your Dad was there when you came into this world. I know you, we both know you, the real one inside, not the one you show the world or you tried to show. You're beautiful, inside and out. It's just that you got distracted these days, it's nothing big but your Dad did what he had to and he isn't wrong"
"But I did wrong, I didn't listen to you and Dad, I forgot what Dad said and I messed up all over again"
Jungkook held his gaze,
"We love you and that will never change. You are a human like the rest of us and you make mistakes. You will continue to make them too, as do I, we all do. But what's so special about you is that you know how to own up to them, feel the hurt and force the pain to make you better" Yeonjun's sobs had ebbed to a trickle and he leaned his head on his Papa's shoulder.
"Binnie is not talking to me" Yeonjun mumbled.
Jungkook smiled softly,
"It was obvious after you ignored him for so many days" Yeonjun whined at that.
"Let me tell you something" Jungkook said and Yeonjun nod his head.
"You have wonderful people around you already, Soobin, Taehyun, Gyu and Hyuka. Do you think you really need anyone else? Moreover the people who came to you seeing how thick your wallet is or how expensive things you use?"
"I know I was wrong Papa. I understood that now and I know saying sorry for it isn't enough because I was being irrational and reckless, I won't deny that what I did was wrong. I am not upset that I am grounded"
"You know who gets grounded?" Jungkook asked and Yeonjun shook his head negatively.
"The insane fly in storms, Junie, that's why you're grounded. It's all howling wind and driving sleet out there. Once you learn how to control the whirling storms and howling winds you will know what I mean"
"Papa, you always talk so deep. It gets hard for me to understand" Yeonjun whined and Jungkook giggled, shaking his head.
"You will understand once the time comes"
"But Papa?"
"Hmm?"
"I didn't know why I did, what I did. You know I was never the type to show off, right?"
