9 - Tine's POV

CHAPTER 9
Tine's POV
I can't help but ask about how his friends would think about us. Yes it's been years but I'm pretty sure that his friends are very curious why he didn't end up with Pam when they have been hooking them up all along. I know that his friends have already accepted us but the thing is, no matter what I do I just can't help but ask him even if I know how much he loves me. But after P'Champ has said that Wat and I are totally a match, I felt like I've been complimented for the first time for being Tine, Sarawat's boyfriend and not as Tine a chic cheerleader. "How was the day together?" His mom asked when we started eating "it was fun aunt. Wat brought me to the places that he used to go before and we ended the day watching a movie at the cinema" I smiled at her "really? But I'm pretty sure those were boring places. You know well that Sarawat is a very cold person" his parents laughed "I know well aunt, but I find everything related to him fun. I've been with him for 2 years now, and the journey is very fun"
"Mom, stop discouraging my boyfriend will you? Both of us had fun, that's what's important. How about you, how was the day out with Phukong?" Sarawat asked to change the topic. "your aunt asked about you. If you are already working, or if you are already married" that kind of made me go nervous "what? What did she say? Did you tell her about Tine?" Wat asked her "mm, I told her you are happily dating someone. And that it doesn't really matter who. She said that you should come visit her after getting married" I choked when I heard what his mom had said "hahaha, let's see" I joked too and continued eating..

"Did you guys wanna rest some more?" His dad now started talking "what is it dad?" Wat asked "I want to go hiking on the mountains today. Let's all go together" mm, I've never tried that before? Well I wanted too but my brother is a little too much to even have his permission to do so "I thought you'd never ask. I was planning to go take Tine and see the view up on the mountains,, do you wanna go?""Yeah, I've been wanting too for the longest time. But you know how my brother is, maybe now I can go?" I smiled "or do you want to go alone?" His mom asked that made him choke, "mom! Why are you so Green minded?" His parents laughed "Tine already said yes, so let's all go together ok? You guys better pack" His dad said "let's stay for one night only ok? I have some place to take Tine" said Sarawat "oh? Where's that P? Can I go too,?" Phukong butt in, "No, it's only for Tine and I" I also wonder where that place is...
"Uh, we should pack up. Phukong, you should go pack after eating too.." I smiled and dragged Sarawat back to his room "why on Earth do you like fighting with Phukong? He is your brother" I told him as I get a camping bag from his closet "I told you, I fight with everyone who touches what's mine" he snobbed as if I didn't hear that before "Wat, he is your brother ok? Anyways, where is that mountain your dad was talking about earlier?" I was just curious and half exited too.. because I've never been into a camping before..
"Just around here, it's just that it's too tiring to climb up there so I don't usually go hiking trip with friends. The last time was in junior high school, Man had to give me a back ride to get going" he laughed "yeah? I'll inform you that I won't do the same" I said and laughed again "no need, I'm sure I'll be the one who'll give you a back ride" well, let's see about that.. Sarawat is the type of person who doesn't care about his clothes. Most of the time I am the one who manages everything. I even wonder if I'm his boyfriend or his maid. After packing our clothes, I went out to bring our bag to their car. "Babe, did you pack my Earpods?""Mm? I think I did, I'll check it out later." "Wat, can you go check on your brother? He is taking it too long" his mom said "mom, I'm too lazy. Can't you just go? Or let's wait for him a bit longer" Wat pleaded, we are now sitting at the sofa and he is leaning his head on my shoulder hugging my arms. "It's ok aunt, I'll go. Wat, let go of me will you" I tried to shake him but he won't even budge "I'll go, I'll go. Mom asked me to go not you... " He finally went up.. "mom, he is on his way down now. Let's just wait for him."  He went back to where he was on my shoulder and slept again.

"Here! I'm here!!" Phukong came running "great, let's go to the car now?" I nodded along with his mom but this person right here is sleeping.. "Wat, Wat, we've got to go to the car now. Continue sleeping at car" I shaked him "mm.." he stood up and went to the car first. Where on earth did his manners go? "Everyone here?" His dad asked before starting the engine "yes uncle, I think everyone is here.." no one bothered to answer so I did. When I sat at the car Sarawat leaned on me and grabbed my arms automatically while Phukong had earphones on so I bet no of them heard uncle ask..
On the far away drive to the mountain, I had Sarawat's Earpods on too. And as usual I picked up scrubb songs on my phone. This whole trip to his hometown is really fun. I get to see a new side of him that I've always been curious about. As I enjoy the music, Sarawat moved.. "babe, did you pack up water?" He asked "mm.. I'll get it for you" I looked up the bag and found water. Sarawat is always craving for water, he loves water the most on earth. "Here," I opened it and slowly fed him, his eyes are still closed. "I was not informed that my son can't drink water  on his own now" his mom teased "of course I can, my wife just love me so much" he is now wide awake.. "Tine, don't take him much of a baby.. I'm telling you he'll get used to it and will be dependent on you" his mom teased..
"Not really aunt. Wat just love to be taken cared of when he is sleepy.. he is such a sleepy head" I laughed while looking at him.. after a couple of minutes we have arrived at the foot of the mountain. "Let's get going before the sun sets. We won't be able to see a thing by then" his dad said, we went to take our bags out but I only carried the light one. My husband took care of all the heavy ones since I packed it for him. We started walking, as we walk Ivey been seeing a great environment.. There are lots of birds that are freely flying around, I felt like I wasn't going out for the longest time. "P'Tine, you look like a kid wondering off. Have you never been into hiking before?" Phukong now got curious "actually I've been. But I was just a kid that time so I don't really remember a thing, and right now it feels so crazy awesome to be seeing this animals around." I smiled "by the way Tine, who cooks at your place? I'm pretty sure my son can't cook" Wat's dad asked "uh, both of us can't cook before but I learned as time went on. Because we can't buy food outside all the time. It's better to cook on our own, and since Sarawat never had interest in cooking, I decided to learn and be the one to cook" Sarawat's only interested in eating food. "That's great, you know P'Wat loved home cooked foods than the ones bought outside. But since he moved out for college I bet he got used to it already" answered Phukong "mm.. mom always cook for us so I got used to eating it. But I got used to bought food too after I moved out. But after Tine and I got together, Tine learned to cook so it was not that hard" said Sarawat. After around a hour and a half of walking we finally reached the top of the mountain. It was breath taking, it was already 5pm when we reached the mountain top. "Babe, the stars are beautiful" Sarawat said "yeah, it's totally breath taking" I answered, then he hugged me from the back.. "I never expected to be here with you" he hugged me tightly "Postpone the sweetness, we have to cook dinner now. Tine can you lend me a hand? Sarawat and Phukong, lend your dad a hand in making the tents" his mom asked, I'm now nervous because I can cook but I don't know how his mom does it. "Sure thing aunt, I can help" I went to gather the equipment that we will use. I even lighted up the fire to start cooking. In the middle of cooking, his mom started talking to me in a serious tone. "Tine, did you know? The first time that I saw you in Sarawat's room back then I already knew that he was different. And as a mother, it gave me a hard time to accept it. You know well that his dad has a rank as an officer and it will cause a lot of people to talk about our name. But you know what? After some time I realized how you changed my son to be better this way than he was before he met you. And I'm so thankful because you love him, the kind of love that I can see right here in your eyes and feel right in your heart. Tine thank you so much for being so pure to my son, I hope you know how dedicated he is to you. I hope you know how much he loves you dearly. Because my son loves you so much, me and Sarawat's dad have forgotten the fact that your love is different from everyone else. We have already accepted everything about Sarawat and you, everything is totally normal for us now. So don't feel so away from us. The day, Sarawat said he loves you, you have already become a part of our family.. you are now my son too Tine" I can't express how happy I am after what his mom said. All this time I thought they don't still agree with us, but now I realized why Sarawat grew up that way..
