CHAPTER 30
Sarawat’s POV
A week in Phuket has passed by fast, it’s as if it was just a short dream. But then again, I am very happy that Tine’s parents are ok with us being like this. Actually it’s quite hard to get someone’s approval, specially for me who only asked approval from my professors in the past. It’s fun that we get to spend a week near the sea without thinking about anything else and now we’re ready to wake up from this dream and go back to where reality really is.  “babe, are you ok? I’ve packed our clothes already. I’m going to check on Phukong, do you want to go together?” Tine asked “uh, yeah sure let’s go there together”
“Phukong, have you packed already?” Tine asked as we got in “I did. But it seemed to be kind of messy so I unpacked it again. I’m still in the middle of it P,” he even smiled, this kid. What will happen to him when mom asks him to get back home? He’ll really mess up since mom doesn’t do this kinds of things for him like Tine does “it’s ok, I’ll handle it. Scoot over, I’ll help you pack them so they won’t look messy. I’ll teach you how to do this kinds of things when I have time, so you won’t need my help next time. You are old enough to even have a lover yet you can’t fix your own clothes? This is embarrasing” Tine laughed
“but P, I don’t think that I’ll have to learn this kinds of things. Just marry my older brother and I’m good to go. You’ll be in our household then you’ll be able to help me do it from time to time. Don’t sound like you’ll ditch me in the future because I won’t let that happen. I’ll hang around you even more than I hang around my brother since you take good care of me more than my mom” woah! I didn’t know that I have a younger brother who has a face as thick as this to even ask this kinds of things to my lover “even if I marry your brother and be in your household, you still have to learn this. I mean, this is a basic knowledge for humans. And it’ll make me very proud if you learn to become responsible because me, so do this as a favor for me ok?”
“Tine is right Phukong, when you marry into a household you can’t call my wife to help you with this kinds of things all the time. You have to learn them by yourself and stop leeching over my wife” “hey! You didn’t say anything before but you sound so concerned right now. Tell you what P’Tine, he isn’t saying this because he seriously wants me to learn. He is saying this because he wants to have you alone and not share you with me. Don’t worry P’Wat I will never steal your wife but always remember that your wife is my guardian, basically like a parent. So act like one too, treat it as a practice when you plan to raise a kid in the future. Don’t get jealous over kids and learn how to take care of them like a parent. Getting jealous over kids turns P’Tine off” what is this kid even saying? As if it’ll take the next day for us to process papers and adopt a kid right? After fixing our clothes, we ate breakfast together as we have the noon flight back to Bangkok. “one week passed by fast right? Can’t believe we’re going back to US now” their mom starts shredding tears “mom! Can you please not cry like we’re dying? It pisses me off” said P’Type “even so, I am thankful to meet you Man, Sarawat and Phukong. The time together were so fun and memorable,  I hope to see you next time too.. on the wedding day perhaps? Wat and Man, I beg of you to take good care of my sons. I only have Tine and Type, I may not have raised them full time but I treasure them a lot even more than money. So please do me a favor and take good care of them until I get back, next time. And Phukong, do well on your papers and look after your guardians too ok? I’ll meet your lover next time too, know your limitations as you are still young ok? Tine and Wat since you are living with someone younger mind your words and take care of him too. Look after him even if you are so busy. Type take care of Man too, don’t bicker all the time and work hard too”
“I don’t have any dramatic speaches like your mom. But always stay in good health and call us from time to time, don’t fight and take care of each other well. Stay in a healthy relationship too and never forget to take things slowly as it won’t run away from you guys. Don’t decide on anything without considering it a thousand times, take care of Phukong too. The next time we come back, if you still feel the same and is stable enough to settle down then I’ll marry my sons off. So if you really want to be part of their lives permanently you’ll have to work hard to get a stable job, and have a stable life to sustain my sons.  Until then you must make sure that there is nothing for us to worry while we are away”
“mom, dad, you guys sound like you’ll never come back to Thailand ever again? Didn’t I told you? I hate sad endings the most. When you receive our wedding invitations then you must book a flight as fast as you can. P’Type and I set a contest on who’s getting married first, that way we’ll have the most effective motivation to work hard and meet with dad’s conditions in order to get married.” Said Tine “mom, dad, thank you for accepting the fact that we are like this, the unsual type. It’s been so hard to come off to you guys since you are the persons we respect the most but thankfully it’s ok with you guys. Have a safe flight back and call us from time to time too, take care of your health and don’t make us worried too.. thanks for coming mom and dad.. till the next time we meet”
The journey here was tough but it was fun, it’s worth remembering and I’ve learned a lot from just a week of staying here. His parents are both intelligent in life matters and school matters. I don’t regret that it’s Tine I’m going to marry because he is the sweetest and grew up from the sweetest family too.
