CHAPTER 28
Sarawat’s POV
I spent the whole day with my family. Yes, Tine and I decided to call our circle as a family. It’ll be bad if I always say that I’m with Tine when we have my brother with us right? It’s not a bad idea after all, if people asks if Phukong is our child maybe we’ll just nod at that. When we got back at P’Type’s place, they just started having breakfast. We got back pretty late as we still took our time to look at the view one last time. “come fast! What are you guys looking at? Let’s eat altogether, it’s more fun that way don’t you think?”
Tine’s dad started to talk as we walk towards the table. “how was your trip? Was it fun? Did my car run into trouble?” “Man! What are you saying? It’s my car!” “you wouldn’t have bought one if I didn’t tell you too, so it’s mine as well” P’Type and Man started to bicker again as usual, we were just gone for a day but we missed the usual things that happens at home.. “don’t worry, your first child didn’t run into trouble. His uncles took good care of him, do you want me to tell you what we fed him? You must be curious about that too” Tine said sarcastically “no need my dear, your brother was just worried. That car is the first thing he bought from his savings, that’s normal that he is worried about it” calmed their mom
“no it’s not mom. I mean, I’m his brother and he offered to let us borrow his car and now he asks as if he doesn’t trust us. That’s not normal” Tine sulked like a baby and we all laughed “so? How was it? Where did you guys go?” asked his dad “ just a road trip sir. We couldn’t have seen a lot if we stayed at one place, Tine and Phukong are pretty much alike, they get bored at what they see easily” I answered him “you sure can handle things inside the family well like a perfect father material. Are you just telling me signs that you want to settle down already with my son?” his dad even joked with this topic “of course not sir, I kept your word in my heart and will wait for that to happen” I smiled “that’s great then, you have respect for your lover’s parents which seem nice to me”
After having breakfast Man and I had a talk outside at the balcony, “you know what? Their dad is so realistic in life and seems to have experienced a lot when it come to relationships. He’s an amazing dad and an amazing guy, I think I found my role model Wat” “really? I never thought you cared about such serious things all this time. Well, you can’t always tell him compliments. You should start working to have a savings account if you want to marry his son. Saying this things won’t help you have his approval to let you marry his son. But you are kind of right, I totally get his thoughts why he didn’t want his sons to get married at such an early age. They haven’t really succeeded in their careers yet.  And as a parent who worked abroad, and bear all the longing just to make their sons finish school, this must’ve been their dream for them” “well, I get that point too. And I believe that there is much for me to learn to be able to stay in a place called HOME with P’Type. We’ve been living in this house for almost a year, away from the city that we both got used too. At first it was really tough, we don’t and can’t go to the city village everytime we needed something. But as time went on, I realized how fun it is to be away from all those crowded places. I think I’ve become a family man now” I am happy seeing all this progress from Man, he’s never been like this in the past.
We’ve both changed so much from who we were in the past. I guess meeting the person you love the most in the world really changes everything in you. I’ve been progressing so much myself too and that’s something that I and Tine is proud of of. After a while Man was called by P’Type saying he needs help for setting up something in their room so he left. Phukong came afterwards, “P, what are you thinking? Why do you have that long face?” “nothing, I am just worried. I’ve grown too much don’t you think? There’s a lot of things adults face, so I’m telling you to enjoy and stay in your youth for a long time. So when the day comes that you face the same things, you’ll have tons of memories to calm you down”
“where is all this talk coming from? P’Wat, you just tend to worry when you are not doing anything. Don’t you know that? You must keep yourself busy to be able to distract yourself from all this worries. How come I always know a lot more than you? You aren’t stupid are you? I seem to advice you from time to time this days and it’s creeping me out you know?” “I am not ok! It’s just sometimes, adults needs to listen to the youth too. You are overeacting, by the way you should call your boyfriend from time to time rather than nagging me. I know the feeling of being a way with Tine and it’s not as fun as you imagine. P’Mil must’ve been worried sick about you” yes, I don’t approve of P’Mil yet. He used to be my rival, but what should I do if my brother really likes him? I have to be fair with Phukong, he accepted Tine wholeheartedly so I’ll learn to be fond of P’Mil from time to time too.
“this is new. You don’t like him, you haven’t let go of your grudge yet that he took P’Tine to the hospital once. But you’re now telling me to call him often, which side of the bed did you wake up today from?” “the side where my wife is! Look, I am just being considerate of how he must’ve felt. I am putting my shoes into him that is why I think he must feel miserable. Is that wrong? Don’t call him if you don’t want too, it’s your choice after all he is your boyfriend not mine” I told him to call his lover, what is so wrong with that? Talking with him makes me spill nonsense, how does Tine ever bear with that? I can’t even stand a minute even if he is my biological brother.. fine! Whatever Phukong!!
