~ Chapter 7 ~

~ Romeo' POV ~

I'm heading to the packhouse to check in with Jaxon. I wonder if he has patched things over with Jae. Last night we had a family dinner it started rough but then my father shocked us all. He is willing to try and get to know Mia finally. After that everything was going well again until Jae said that she doesn't plan on having any children. That hurt Jaxon he was not just hurt but you could see he was extremely angry. I feel bad for him that she has never brought this up to him before now. Jaxon has always wanted children with his mate. Once I arrive at the packhouse I get out of my car and I head upstairs to the office. I knock on the door just in case Jaylon is here I learned my lesson the last time I didn't knock.

Jaxon ~ Come in.

I open the door and walk right in. I take a seat right in front of the desk.

Romeo ~ So how is everything going?

Jaxon ~ If that is your way of asking about Jae and me. No, we didn't short anything out yet I'm not speaking to her yet either. She fucking hurt me last night she could've told me this shit much sooner.

Romeo ~ So what's going to happen now?

Jaxon ~ Well Jaylon and I are planning on looking at a surrogate mother. We both talked about it last night and we have also talked about it before. We want to find someone willing to carry both of our children so then they can be siblings. Plus we will also be adopting from our packs orphanage.

Romeo ~ Well I think that's great that you both want to adopt. And well if Jae doesn't want to carry your children well then that's on her. She has known from the first day that you have always wanted children. So if she knew that she didn't want any then she should've told you right away.

Jaxon ~ Yeah well now she can think about everything cuz I don't plan on forgiving her right away. She even slept in her room last night she didn't even try to talk and work this out last night. Enough about Jae and I when do you and Mia plan on having children?

Romeo ~ We have talked about it and we plan within the next year or so we will start trying. I just hope everything goes okay when we do have children.

Jaxon ~ Mia is strong so you don't have to worry she will be fine and so will your baby.

Romeo ~ I know she is but it still worries me that anything could happen. I mean she is human and humans are pregnant for 9 months. Our kind is pregnant for a shorter time so I don't know if that will hurt her or not.

Jaxon ~ I don't think it will her body will know what to do when that time comes.

Romeo ~ I hope so I can't lose her she is the love of my life and no it's not cuz of the mate bond.

Jaxon ~ I know I feel the same way. I feel it deeper with Jaylon though. I think it would kill me if I lost him.

Romeo ~ Well you probably feel it deeper with him cuz you both have liked each other since you were kids. Plus you found out he was your mate before you found Jae.

Jaxon ~ That's true. So now let's get down to business has there been any more rogue attacks?

Romeo ~ There have been a few but other than that it's been quiet.

Jaxon ~ Okay well I'm sure whoever is behind these attacks they aren't done yet. We need to make sure we are prepared for anything to happen. We should start training a lot more than what we are now.
