The day had come and everyone involved was nervous. Except Rori. Rori had been counting down the hours for her new friend to come over and binge watch Disney movies with her.

Unfortunately for Y/N, she had a really late night the night before. Unlike Bucky who was staying up, having a good time with his buddies, Y/N was rushing to Hope's house to take her to the hospital.

Remember that doctor's appointment she had a while back that she was being secretive about? Yeah, she had some explaining to do.

"Why didn't you just tell me, Hope?" Y/N asked as she paced the hospital room she was in while her friend laid in the bed in a hospital gown, hooked up to some of the equipment.

"It was early. I didn't want to get people's hope up that soon in the trimester," Hope answered.

"That I get, but you were having complications back then, right?"

"Nothing like this. More so, the doctor just said they were going to keep a close eye on this pregnancy due to our complications with Doris."

Doris was kind of a miracle baby. Hope had some fertility issues that were recognized when her and Scott had first started trying. They had multiple doctors appointments and procedures done to up their chances, but even with all the extra help, they said the pregnancy would be hard on her body. And it was.

After she had to go into emergency C-section to deliver Doris, the doctors had told her that the chance of a second child would be extremely low and not the best idea since it was such a strain on her. Hence why this pregnancy was a surprise, and one that Hope didn't want to make very well known in the case it didn't go well.

"This isn't healthy Hope. Bleeding and spotting happens sometimes during pregnancy, but not that much," Y/N sighed, running her hand over her face with nerves. "Has Scott called back?"

It was about 11 at night, and Scott had been on a business trip out of town. Hope had called Y/N first since she was the closet and she had rushed over, waking up Rori and bringing her along. Hope's dad had got there shortly after to watch the girls as Y/N assessed Hope's injuries, and packed her up in the car.

They made it to the hospital about 30 minutes ago, and the doctors went ahead and admitted her into a room for the night just to be safe since her doctor who knew her past was there. They wanted to run a few tests to be safe. Once Hope had updated Scott on everything, he immediately got in the car and headed their way.

"He's about 3 hours out. It wasn't a close business trip."

"He's updated with everything?"

"As updated as we are with everything the doctor has told us." Hope watched as her friend continued to pace back and forth, looking down at the ground as she was in thought. "We know it's not a miscarriage, you said it yourself. There wasn't enough blood for that, and I wasn't cramping like you said I would have."

"Yes, but bleeding and pregnancy still isn't great."

"Well, duh," Hope chuckled lightly.

"This isn't funny," Y/N turned to her, crossing her arm and sending her a serious look.

"Never said it was, but the doctor said not to worry as of now. They already ran some tests and told us to relax. So that's what I'm doing. Stress only makes it worse."

Y/N let out a long sigh before relaxing her shoulders and moving to Hopes bedside.

"You're right, I'm sorry. I just feel bad that I couldn't be of more help... That and I hate that I didn't pick up on something different in you," she mumbled the last part.
