The cry coming from the baby monitor was on full blast as it rang through the room in the early morning.

Y/N let out a muffled groan after just falling back asleep from the last wake up call for a feeding.

"I got it! I got it!" Bucky jumped up.

This had become a common occurrence when it came to the new baby. If she woke in the middle of the night, Bucky was the first up and headed to her room down the hall.

Y/N fluttered her eyes back shut at her husband's save and attempted to go back to sleep. However, she couldn't help the tired smile that formed when she heard him start to softly sing to her like he did anytime she was fussy and fighting sleep. The baby monitor did not do any justice to his sweet voice that he had.

The song, was hummed softly and gently sung to her to soothe her back to sleep.

Y/N quietly got out of bed and slowly moved down the hall to the next room over to peek in.

Sure enough, there he was, with their little girl dancing sweetly in their little bubble singing and humming the melody of their wedding song that had now become a lullaby for both their girls.

Sweet little Winnie was easing from her crying fit and catching her breath as she took in the calm that was her father.

"I could hold you in my arms... I could hold you forever," he sang.

She had seen him do this a million times before, yet every time was like the first. Heartwarming, bittersweet, and pure bliss.

"You know, she's never going to learn to sleep on her own if you keep rescuing her," Y/N chuckled, coming up behind him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"I can't help it," Bucky responded, laying his head softly against the babies. "I don't like the sound of my girl crying."

"Neither do I, but honey, it's not going to help her in the long run," Y/N smiled, brushing her daughter's head as Bucky rubbed her back.

"I know, I know... I'll start tomorrow night," he promised.

"You said that 3 weeks ago... And every day since."

He turned to her, giving her a pouty face. "I know, but I can't help it," he repeated.

"I know. You're just a sucker in love," she giggled some, brushing his bed head out of his face.

"I'll get her back to sleep and meet you back in bed. You go get some rest," he leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her temple as she looked over her daughter. "I know you're exhausted."

"Mom," Rori's voice cut in.

"Hey, sunshine," she smiled walking over to the sleepy 9 year old in the doorway. "What are you doing up?"

"I heard you guys talking. I wanted to make sure Winnie was ok," she yawned.

Like her father, she had become love struck with her baby sister and was always aware when she was in distress.

"She's just fussy right now, sweetheart," Y/N came over and bent down to her level. "Your dad's going to get her back to sleep, but how about you and me cuddle in our bed?"

"Can I?" she asked, excited but still sleep ridden.

"Why not?" Y/N chuckled, ruffling her hair and turning her down the hall. "I'll be there in a second. Go get comfy."

She turned to Bucky who had a soft smile watching the two as he bounced the newborn.

"I'll be there in a second. You go sleep, doll," he nodded his head.
