Daenerys knew Jaehaerys was sick, but when they opened her dress to reveal her wounds, she almost vomited. There her sister lay, with seven stab wounds in her stomach, very poorly stitched together, and bleeding out.
"I can't lose her." Robb told Daenerys. He'd been sitting in the corner of the tent, his body racking with sobs. Catelyn tried to console her son, but he was too distraught.
"She has the blood of the dragon Robb Stark. She will be fine." Daenerys assured and he looked up at her sadly.
"I was told that once before, and she almost died." He whispered and held his head in his hands.
Ser Jorah looked around and then walked over to Robb and sat beside him. His eyes met Catelyn's and hers grew wide.
"Ser Jorah." She whispered. Robb looked up and turned his head to the blonde knight.
"Ser Jorah Mormont, of Bear Island, Lady Stark." He introduced himself. He looked down at Robb and sighed.
"I don't know your wife, but I know Daenerys. The Targaryen's are tough, and if she's anything like her sister, she'll pull through." He assured and placed his hand on Robb's knee.
Robb was slowly going mad. He'd dealt with so much, and now this.
Lyanna cried in Catelyn's arms and she looked around for Arya.
"Arya?" She called. When she received no answer, she looked to Jorah who looked at the unsullied. Grey Worm told him in Valyrian,
"The little lady left in search of a ship."
"Grey Worm said she left in search of a ship." Jorah explained. Catelyn sighed sadly and looked down.
"Bravos. She's looking for Bravos." Robb glanced at his mother confused.
"And why would she be doing that?" He asked.
"The faceless god." She whispered. Robb gulped and glanced back at Jaehaerys laying on the concrete.
"God of death." He whispered.
"Jaehaerys." Robb walked over to her and leaned close to her face.
"I hope you can hear me. I need you, our child needs you. Please." He hiccuped as he grabbed her hand in his.
"Please come back to me." He begged. And suddenly as if the words triggered something in her body, she twitched her hand.
"My love?" Robb hoped she was awake. But he also knew he could have imagined it.
"Robb." She croaked out. He sighed in relief and laughed as she opened her eyes slowly.
"It's hot." She said. Daenerys walked closer to her sister to see her body was sweating.
"Bloody hell, the blade that stabbed her was poisoned." Jorah noticed. Jaehaerys was turning a sickly shade of pale and Robb shook his head.
"No. You're okay." He whispered and touched her scalding hot cheek.
"Robb, I need water." She whispered. Someone had it on hand and gave it to him.
"It hurts." She cried. Robb smiled and nodded.
"Don't leave me." He pleaded. She chuckled dryly and sat up.
"I don't plan on it, love, but it is hot." She placed her hand softly on his cheek and she got a good look at her husband.
Dark purple eyes hung underneath his bloodshot eyes. He noticeably hadn't shaven in a while and Jaehaerys always liked him with a beard. His curly locks were fuller and less bright.
"You must be tired, Robb. Where is Lyanna?" She asked. Robb chuckled and looked at Catelyn. Catelyn brought Lyanna over to her mother and she got a good view of how much Lyanna had grown over the past several months.
She had more hair now, the color red like Sansa's and just as vibrant, her purple eyes were bright and full of life.
"She's beautiful." Daenerys said to her sister. Jaehaerys looked over at her twin and jumped off the table with Lyanna in her arms.
Daenerys hugged Jaehaerys tightly and closed her eyes.
"I'm so happy you're here." Daenerys told her. Jaehaerys heard a roar from the sky and Daenerys chuckled.
"It seems your dragons have become acquainted with Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal." Jaehaerys smiled and wiped the fallen sweat from her forehead.
"I want to see them." Jaehaerys turned to Robb. Robb shook his head and walked closer.
"Please take it easy, your Grace. You've been poisoned." Ser Jorah had spoken then. Jaehaerys turned and looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"Poisoned?" She questioned. Her eyebrow quirked and a smirk rose to her lips.
"Bloody Boltons." She stated. Robb shook his head and looked down.
"This is my fault. If I had been paying attention, if I wouldn't have been as arrogant, maybe we wouldn't have been betrayed." Robb rushed out and Jaehaerys shushed him. She placed her hot hands on his own and rocked Lyanna in her other arm.
"If's are only as good as maybes. These things happened for a reason Robb Stark. We would have been betrayed either way." She explained. Robb gulped and wiped away the pouring sweat away from her forehead and cheeks.
"Robb.." Jaehaerys felt dizzy and she leaned into her husband. He handed Lyanna off before picking her up and laying her back on the table.
"We need a Maester. Now!" Daenerys commanded in Dothraki and Valyrian.
Grey Worm ran off to find a Maester and Robb clutched his wife's hand.
In the span of three months, his wife was almost murdered in front of him, twice. Jaehaerys was tough, and strong willed.
"Stop thinking." Jaehaerys told him. Robb snapped out of his daze and smiled at her.
"Princess Jaehaerys." Grey Worm approached them with a man who looked as if he was a slave.
"Grey Worm." Daenerys introduced and Jaehaerys nodded at the man before allowing the Maester to check her wounds.
"The poison...it's not a strong one. Whoever did this was not very smart or knew she would survive. Either way, the poison will burn out on its own. Drink water and eat. Now to get started on these wounds." Jaehaerys winced when he tightened a bandage around her middle. The wounds were still very fresh and tender. Much like her reunion with Daenerys.
