Ice. For miles all Jaehaerys could see was rock hard cold ice. She wished she'd bundled up more.
They'd been atop the dragons for at least a day, but when they had reached the wall, Drogon roared, not liking the cold weather at all.
Daenerys and Jaehaerys stopped and looked at each other, almost communicating telepathically on what to do, until they heard them.
The most awful looking creatures Jaehaerys had ever laid eyes on, were surrounding her husband, and Jon Snow, along with their group whilst a sea of cold water that looked to be freezing kept the wights from harming them. Until it wasn't. The wights started to walk over the ice, one by one, and the men fought them. The girls floated while they figure out a way to get down there without hurting their men, when Jaehaerys saw an opening.
Jaehaerys quickly flew down, along with Arys and Rhaegon who followed behind their mother. Robael stood out amongst the icy white ground, his gold tipped scales were covered in snow, but his blue color was shining bright throughout. She flew over Jon and the men on the rock, knocking them down.
"Dracarys." Jaehaerys floated above the section of wights before burning them. She smirked as she saw them flail and run away from the dragon fire.
Robb and Jon were fighting alongside their men. Robb caught a glimpse of his wife and his heart swelled, but then it was struck with fear.
Fear he'd never see her again. And yet here she was, her purple eyes staring down their enemy with hatred.
Daenerys landed Drogon beside the men, and they all climbed on while Jaehaerys burned more wights. Her dragon was bigger than Drogon. Her eyes caught sight of something and she turned her head sharply to see a White Walker standing alongside two more, one of which looked to be the night king.
"Daenerys, go!" She screamed and flew Robael into the sky, whilst her other two dragons flew away safely, Daenerys' most gentle dragon was killed with a single bolt through his chest.
Jaehaerys screamed and landed Robael safely behind a cave and waterfall.
She could feel the heartbreak from her twin sister. But she knew she couldn't leave Jon. She'd saw him fall into the water.
Arys and Rhaegon were halfway back to Eastwatch, but she stayed behind the cave for a long while before flying back over the cave and looking for Jon.
Robb stared out of the post, watching and waiting for his wife's return. Daenerys was standing beside him, waiting for Jon. Both of whom seemed to disappear after the battle.
"Robb..we must go." Daenerys said sadly. Robb scoffed and shook his head.
"I'm not leaving without her." He swore and stared out into the sky again.
"She's alive. I can feel it in my heart." Daenerys told him. Robb rolled his eyes and stabbed a dagger into the wood.
"She's coming back. And I'm not leaving until she does." Robb explained and Daenerys sighed and turned away only for Robb to stand up straighter at the sight of a rider on a horse. It was Jon.
They rushed down and got him off the horse, but Jaehaerys was still out there.
"We have to get him inside." The hound said and Tormund carried him inside the castle, but Robb couldn't seem to move.
Daenerys had heard it before she saw it. A dragon's cry. Jaehaerys was cold and shivering, nothing like what Jon had, but close. The cold snow had severely given her frostbite on the tips of her fingers, not even Robael could warm her.
Robael landed on the ground beside Robb, and he whined sadly. Jaehaerys climbed down slowly and limped, the wound from her battle at High Garden flaring up as Robb caught her.
"Robb?" She whispered as he grasped her tightly.
"Jae, I'm here." He promised and picked her up, as if she weighed nothing.
"I'm sorry." She said to him softly. His heart clenched and he shook his head.
"Nothing to be sorry for, my love." He swore he'd never let her leave his sight again. Too many close calls with her, and he didn't cherish their time enough.
"I promise, when this is all over, you and I will go home and stay in Winterfell." He said and placed a kiss on her freezing forehead.
Once inside, Jaehaerys clothes were ripped from her body as they rubbed blankets along her skin to cause enough friction to warm her.
Jorah suggested Robb lay beside her and offer his body heat, to which he did, and Jaehaerys snuggled into his side.
"My sister was right. I should have left when she called out my name." Daenerys said startling Robb.
He glanced over at her and then tightened his arms around Jaehaerys.
"Do you know how loyal she is to me? What I've put her through?" Robb asked. His hand traced a piece of her white hair and pushed it behind her ear.
"She loves you." Daenerys told him and sat on the other side of her sister.
"And I love her." He swore and Daenerys grabbed her hand.
"What I saw...I don't want her near it. I want to protect her." Daenerys told him and Robb scoffed.
"I wouldn't try telling her that." He said with a small grin, and Daenerys chuckled.
"No one can protect anyone. The world is dangerous." Daenerys said sadly and looked out the window of the ship she was on.
"This is only the beginning." Robb warned and pulled the furs tighter around his wife's fragile body, before closing his eyes to get some needed sleep.
