Bendy's POV:

I woke up the next morning to someone ringing a bell. I groaned, so did everyone else. I barely got any sleep last night. I tossed and turned until maybe 2 AM. The nurses checking on me every 20 minutes did not help either.

I sat up and rubbed my head. It was still aching but had gotten better since last night. I looked around the room to see what everyone else was doing. They were all sitting at the edges of their beds, stretching or rubbing their eyes.

"Alright you five it's breakfast time! It's 'choose-your-own-cereal' day! We've got plenty of options. Remember, two bowls max. If you're still hungry you can ask for some fruit!" the nurse cheered happily as she rung the bell.

Edgar hopped up excitedly and raced out of the room. Barley followed him, though he was walking instead of running. Alice and Boris left too. Before I could follow them, the nurse stopped me.

She then handed me an orange gown, orange fuzzy socks, and an orange bunny hat.

"I know you were only defending yourself last night, but fighting is not tolerated at all. You'll be demoted to orange for now. Don't worry, this doesn't mean you can't improve! You always can!" She smiled fakely.

"Do me a favor and change real quick, and then you can go eat. Thankfully one of the old oranges was bumped up to yellow, so there's a spot for you!" she handed me the gown before walking out and closing the door.

I stood there while holding the gown. I thought for a minute, then smiled. This was actually a good thing in my opinion. Sure, my color got lower, but I wouldn't have to sit with that ass hole Percy! And I get to sit with two people I actually know, even better!

I quickly changed out of my yellow and into the orange. I was able to use the hat to cover one of my horns. Ever since they had been trimmed, I had been self-conscious about them. If someone were to call them ugly or gross, I wouldn't necessarily disagree with them.

I left my dirty clothes on the floor as I opened the door and stepped out. The nurse was still standing there. She smiled at me before putting her arm on my back and leading me down the hall. Don't know why she was. I knew where the cafeteria was.

We eventually made it in, though the nurse didn't leave. She walked with me all the way to the orange table. I wanted to die with the way she was treating me like a Kindergartener.

Only some of the oranges looked at me, two of them being Barley and Alice. Both seemed happy that I was there. The only open seat was in between them. This couldn't have got any better. Not only did I sit at their table, but I also got to sit next to both of them!

I gladly sat down. Barley had glanced back down at his bowl and went back to eating. Alice was still staring at me, grinning from excitement.

Once the nurse walked off, she began talking.

"It's so cool you're sitting with us! I have a feeling you're going to love this table! Everyone is really nice!" she informed me with joy.

It seemed she was right as well. As I inspected the table, everyone seemed happy and content. Though I did notice something off. Out of 20-30 people, Barley and I were the only guys. I don't know why I found it strange, I just did. So, I decided to ask.

"How come it's mainly women that are orange? Is there a reason or is it just coincidence?".

"Oh, well..." she fell quiet for a second.

"The girls are put on orange when they first get here, not yellow.".

"Why?" I asked her, quite puzzled on the reason.
