Bendy's POV:
The rest of the day was fun. We sang song, watched movies, ate our meals, and had a great time. Surprisingly, Barley was the most talkative. It was strange yet heartwarming. When I first met him, he didn't even say his name.
Charley looked a lot happier as well. He was socializing more and seemed more friendly. Much more different from when we first met! He had such an attitude the first day or so. He is living proof that you can't judge a book by their cover. Or in this case, the color of their gown.
Alice seemed to gain more confidence as well. I've learned a lot about her, and I mean a LOT. I don't mind though. She seems happier in general. I also provide support for her. Way better than those damn "therapies" could ever do.
Boris was also improving. He seemed braver and believed in himself more. He was meeting new people and talking more in group discussions. Based on what I've heard, he's close to changing to blue.
Speaking of blue, I still think about Edgar daily. Though I barely knew him, I hope he's doing well. I don't know why he wouldn't be.
.
.
.
It was probably around 10 PM. I had been dead asleep. Everything was fine until I awoke to the sound of scratching. I was obviously confused. The only time I ever heard scratching on doors was from a pet. Last time I checked, there were no pets here.
Perhaps a patient? Doubt it. The nurses are strict about it. Was I hallucinating? Was this another dumb dream?
Turns out it wasn't, because it woke Alice up too.
"What's that?" she whispered with slight panic.
"I don't know." I replied quietly.
The scratching soon stopped. Though I didn't hear any footsteps.
I began to speak again. "No idea what that w-"
A bang came from the door. Alice and I flinched as we stared. Someone was running into the door. Alice couldn't help but scream in terror, which woke the others.
We were all scared, some more than others. Charley and Barley, who were in the same bed due to Charley having a nightmare, were silent but freaked out. Boris was hyperventilating and Alice continued to yell.
Another loud bang from the door as a foot came through the bottom of it. Someone had kicked through the door. Now the entire room was screaming in terror. Barley backed into the corner, still sitting on his bed. Charley stood up shakily as he stared in horror. Boris covered his ears and tensed up. Alice began to cry as she pointed and screeched. I just sat there, frozen.
Whoever it was had kicked again, making an even bigger hole. They also began to make threats, ones too graphic for me to repeat.
It sounded like a man, though I couldn't tell who it was.
He suddenly punched through the door with an angry groan. I was beyond terrified, as was everyone else. Charley covered his face. I assumed he was crying, though I don't know for sure.
The man punched again, and then again. He was finally able to stick his head through as he gave a sinister smile.
"I'll kill you all!" he screamed as he laughed evilly. I then noticed what he was holding. He had managed to steal a meter stick from one of the nurses, probably from the attack in the cafeteria. Maybe that's why nobody wanted to fight back. He had a weapon.
The man backed up before ramming into the door. It broke completely as he stumbled inside, holding the meter stick tightly.
"YOU!" he yelled as he pointed at me. "YOU GOT US LOCKED UP!".
He started to step closer to me. I backed into the wall. I tried thinking of a response, but I couldn't. What should I do now?!
He whacked me across the face with the stick. I managed to keep my balance, but it was hard. I held my cheek in pain. He hit me again, this time on top of the head.
I looked around frantically, praying someone would step in. Sadly, nobody did. They were all too scared to even move.
Before he could hit me again, he was tased from behind. There was a nurse who had come to check it out. For once, I was happy there was a nurse.
She sped over to the man and snatched the stick from him. She then lifted him to his feet as he began to lead him out of the room.
As she left, a male nurse came in. "You five alright?".
Before I could answer, Charley spoke out.
"Of course not! Bendy just got his ass beat and we're all panicking right now!" his voice sounded shaky and full of fear. I didn't blame him. It was weird to hear him so scared, though.
"I understand. We're gonna need to find you guys a new room until we get this door repaired. I think I know a vacant one. Follow me." he waved for us to follow as he stepped out of the room.
We all rose while trembling. The five of us followed the nurse further down the hall. I could hear sniffing and whimpering from the others. All four of them could've been crying, but I had no clue.
We were soon led to a room right beside the bathroom. Room "244". He unlocked the door and motioned for us to enter. When I did, I was surprised on the layout. There wasn't a bed. Instead, there was a singular dirty mattress on the ground. The walls and floor were both made of white concrete. There was no window, no TV, no desk. A prison cell looked better than this room!
"Usually this is isolation for rowdy patients. Charley, you've been in it many times." the nurse scoffed.
"Shut up." Charley replied, sounding a bit calmer.
"Anyways, this will be a temporary room for you five.".
"But there's only one mattress!" Boris complained.
"Guess you'll have to share for the time being. That or sleep on the floor.".
The nurse then walked out and shut the door, which was a reinforced metal one. There wasn't even a light switch. The yellow blinking light buzzed loudly. It was irritating after a while.
"Well, this sucks." Barley sulked.
"I know, but hopefully it's only for a few nights. We can alternate who gets the bed and who sleeps on the floor! Unless you wanna do the sharing idea.".
"Nah. I don't like sharing beds.".
I decided to ignore the fact that he was sharing one with Charley not even ten minutes ago.
"The bed is temporary. The attacks are not." Charley mumbled.
"What do you mean?" I asked him.
"That guy attacked us because we got him locked up for the day. If he's that angry, everyone else will be too." he sighed. "As much as I hate to admit it, I'm scared. I really am.".
"I know, we all are. If we just all stay together we should be fine.".
I was trying to reassure them but it was hard.
"Whatever. Let's just go to bed. I'm tired." he muttered as he yawned.
"I think you should get the mattress, Bendy. You just got beat with a meter stick." Barley cut in.
Everyone seemed to agree. I felt bad for taking the mattress, but they insisted. So, I laid down on it. It was springy and not very comfortable. It was better than nothing, though.
As I laid there I thought about tomorrow, feeling really anxious.
If this whole thing was enough to scare Charley, well...
I fear for what's to come.
