Bendy's POV:
I was surrounded by people frantically rising to their feet. I also stood, as well as the other five. Charley and Barley seemed unbothered. However, Boris was hyperventilating and trembling. He was panicking. Alice was sobbing quietly, holding her head with her hands.
We were all suddenly pushed by a crowd of people. I lost sight of the others. They had either fled or were being trampled. There was no way of me telling where they went. So, I followed the crowd.
Everybody seemed scared. I could then hear pained screams, though none of them recognizable. The cracks of belts and meter sticks and the screams of patients is all I could hear.
I was then able to put the pieces together.
Are they hitting the patients?!
A sharp pain on my back answered my question. One nurse had whipped me with the belt, which obviously caused quite some pain. I was right. Patients were being hit and screamed at. I couldn't believe this! How could nurses abuse their patients?!
I didn't have much time to think as I was whipped again, this time on the thigh. I jolted in pain but kept going. The voices of multiple nurses were yelling at us to get to our rooms. I began to head there out of fear, worried on what would happen if I stayed.
I was one of the last out of there. Before I could leave the cafeteria, I heard a familiar yelp as well as a zapping noise. I couldn't help but turn around.
I was shocked and also disgusted at what I saw. One of the nurses had tased Boris, who was laying on the floor in agony. There were several other patients lying on the ground, either knocked unconscious or too injured to move. I didn't recognize any of them, though. It was only Boris.
I was struck on the head with a meter stick by a nurse. She then shoved me, causing me to almost trip. She was urging for me to hurry up. As much as I wanted to help Boris, fear overtook me. I quickly ran through the playroom and down the hall. Once I reached my room, I opened the door and stumbled in.
Alice was curled up in the corner. It sounded like she was crying. Barley was trying to comfort her as Charley just sat on his bed rubbing his back in pain. I assumed he had also been whipped.
I shut the door behind me as they all stared up at me. Alice had tears streaming down her face, Barley seemed worried, and Charley seemed angry as per usual.
"Great going, Einstein! You got us all in trouble!" Charley snapped at me.
I didn't have time to answer to his snarky remark, as Alice quickly spoke up.
"Where's Boris?" she muttered shakily.
I sighed. "Last time I checked he was tased by one of the nurses.".
"That damn zappy box again." Charley grumbled.
"Zappy box?" I questioned.
"It means taser. The nurses here make us use different vocabulary, so it sounds less 'scary'. We've been doing it so much it's a force of habit now.".
"Oh, I see.".
"Why did they tase Boris?" Alice asked me.
"No idea. I wish I knew why." I answered.
The door suddenly opened behind me. We all turned to see who it was.
A nurse was standing there, along with Boris. The nurse had a tight grip on the back of Boris' neck. Boris looked pained and frightened. Not surprised. He had just been tased.
The nurse tossed Boris into the room, causing him to almost trip on himself.
"Thanks to you five, everyone is being locked in their rooms for the rest of the day. A meal will be brought at the right time and a nurse will walk you to the bathroom if you need to go." she scoffed and smirked. "Hope you like the thought of everyone being angry at you, because they will be. Hope you know how to apologize!".
