Bendy's POV

I stumbled to the left as I felt someone push by me. I turned to see who it was and was not surprised to see Charley speed walking away from us. I just sighed and rolled my eyes as I watched him storm off. I had no idea what that guy's problem was. However, the longer I watched, the more I realized. Every person he passed by stopped what they were doing and stared. A few conversations ended when he walked by. I continued to stare, not noticing that everyone else had wandered off. I witnessed him approach a table. The man sitting there immediately gave up his seat and backed away. I finally realized that he was intimidated by him. Again, no surprise. That guy is a jerk.

My gaze was broken after I heard Alice calling my name. I looked to the left to see her and Boris sitting at a red wooden table. She smiled and waved me over, to which I listened and approached. I sat in a vacant seat and grinned at them both.

"So how are you liking this place so far?" Alice asked happily.

"Well, it sure is something." I responded with a chuckle. "Have you met anyone knew?" she questioned me.

I hadn't. I had only been here for 15 minutes. I do appreciate her attempt at conversation, though.

"Well, not really. Haven't had time to.".

"I recommend trying to friend the blues, greens, and yellows. Orange can be difficult sometimes. No offense Alice." Boris suddenly cut in.

"None taken, Boris!" Alice replied with glee.

I was confused by what he was talking about. Blues? Greens? Yellows? Were those last names? I decided to ask him.

"What do you mean by blues, greens, and yellows?" I asked him politely.

"Did nobody tell you about colors?".

"No. They haven't.".

"Well then I might as well explain!" he stated joyfully.

"Basically, every patient is given a color-".

"How can you tell someone's color?" I rudely interrupted.

"Your gown, silly! The color of the gown is the color you're assigned!".

"What do the colors mean?".

"It's basically like a rank." Alice informed me. "Blue and green are the safest to talk to and play with. They're the nicest. Yellow either means you're new here or are equally good and bad. Red and orange means someone should be approached with caution, and usually aren't the nicest.".

"What about purple?" I questioned rather quickly. I noticed they both fell silent as they glanced at each other. After a moment of awkward silence, Boris spoke up.

"Purples are usually the meanest. Nobody approaches them. Everyone fears them. Someone would have to be in here a long time or have some severe disorder to get to purple. Someone who is purple usually has no chance of ever getting out and spend the rest of their lives here.".

"How come Charley is the only purple I've seen? There's like, 60 people in this room.".

"Purples don't really last long..." Alice answered with sadness.

"What does that mean?".

"They either die or disappear out of nowhere. They are usually taken to the scary room and never return.".

I gasped in shock. What did she mean by die? Or disappear out of nowhere? How do they die? Do they not get help? Questions raced in my mind.

"What's a... scary room?" I asked shakily.
