Bendy's POV:
I left the cafeteria with my head down. I was one of the last to leave. Barley was still not seen, Boris had already walked out, and I didn't feel like walking with Charley.
Once in the playroom, however, I managed to spot Barley sitting at a table with Charley. I took this opportunity to ask where he was. I still don't care about him though! I was just curious. Really curious.
I approached the table. Charley, who was finally starting to recover, just stared at me. Barley was quick to greet me with a wave and a smile.
"Where were you during dinner?" I questioned him with a tone of suspicion.
"Yeah, where did you go? You love seafood!" Charley also asked him. He was just as confused as I was.
He seemed to take a while to answer. "I was in the therapy room.".
Barley's POV:
That was a lie, I just hope he believed it.
"Why?" He wondered.
"I was tired.".
"Hmm... okay..." He was suspicious but at least he bought it.
Bendy then walked away.
"Now then, why were you really gone?" Charley asked me again.
I couldn't lie to him. He's my best friend, and it's rude to lie to best friends!
"Promise not to tell anyone?".
"Course I won't!".
"You sure?".
"Yep.".
"Alright." I sighed and lowered my voice, leaning closer so no one else could hear me. "I was in the kitchen.".
"Why?" he whispered back.
"To get a phone call.".
"Ohhh are they doing that again? It's been forever since the last offer.".
"Yeah. I took it quickly.".
"Who are you gonna call?".
"Well, this might confuse you but-".
"But what?".
"I'm gonna give the phone call to Bendy.".
"Why? He's a jerk, especially to you!".
"Because if we wanna escape, we have to get along with each other. And right now, Bendy and I do not get along!".
"I know, but what if he still doesn't forgive you? All that hard work will be for nothing!".
"Then he'll look like the bad person, not me. Everyone knows how hard it is to work with Harrison, and how rare phone calls are. If he doesn't forgive me, I'll simply just tell everyone. That'll make HIM look like the jerk.".
"Ooh Barley you evil genius! That's perfect!".
I chuckled. "I know. I'm expecting him to forgive me. When he does, we can continue our escape plan!".
"Great! I can't wait to get out of here.".
"Same here. This place is hell.".
"Do you know who Bendy might call?".
"Probably Alice. If not her, then his parents or something. I really don't know.".
We continued to chat. I'm glad Charley was on board with this.

(THREE DAYS LATER)
Barley's POV:
Three days of hard work had passed. Only four more to go. Shouldn't be too hard. The days were rather uneventful. No news about Alice. Charley had a small outburst of anger after stubbing his toe. Bendy was getting better, but I could still tell he was upset. Boris had gotten into a weird habit of chewing things, probably for comfort or stress relief.
I was in the kitchen preparing lunch. Today was spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. Pretty easy meal!
Harrison was working on the garlic bread. I was boiling the water. There were probably ten boxes of store-bought spaghetti, which was a lot.
It didn't help that the stove was absolute shit. I didn't even feel safe standing around it. The pot kept sliding off the uneven burner, and it took forever to start boiling. I had to hold it still using oven mitts so it wouldn't spill out.
Though it didn't seem to help.
As I was adjusting it, I lost my balance and slipped on a puddle of water. No idea where it even came from. I was able to keep my balance. Sadly, I had spilled some of the boiling water on my arm.
Thank god I didn't spill it on my stitched arm. That would've been the death of me.
I clamped my teeth together and winced in pain. It took all the strength I had to not scream in agony. I quickly set the pot on a more even burner and turned the stove off.
"ill be right back I gotta use the bathroom!" I managed to tell him. I rushed out of the kitchen while holding my arm. I didn't even let him respond.
Thankfully there was no one in the cafeteria yet. I sped-walked through the playroom, down the hall, and into the bathroom. I could feel the water burning more and more of my skin.
Once in there I slammed the door and locked it. I grabbed a wad of toilet paper, held it up to my mouth, and screamed like my life depended on it. I used so many profanities that Satan himself would be impressed. I used swears that I didn't even know existed. I probably made some up to. That's how bad it was.
I took my gown off as quickly as I could and ran over to the sink. I turned the cold water on and put my arm under, desperate to cool my burn. It was quite large as well. It started at my wrist and went down to my elbow.
I was breathing heavily and quickly, almost like a woman in labor. I felt a few tears roll down my cheeks as I kept muttering profanities.
I stood by that sink for five minutes. Every time I pulled my arm away the burning got worse.
The only thing I was worried about, however, was Harrison's reaction. If he knew I was injured he'd fire me for sure! I had come so far! I can't give up now.
I finally accepted the fact that it was going to sting. I turned the water off and wrapped my wound in toilet paper. Great, not both of my arms were injured.
I slipped my gown back on. Thankfully the sleeve had cooled down, though it was still wet. I left the bathroom and took a few deep breaths to collect myself.
It was hard to sneak back into the kitchen, but I managed to do it. Harrison looked over at me and didn't seem happy.
"Why the hell were you in there so long?!" he growled as he turned to face me. He was in the process of making the sauce, which was also store-bought.
I quickly thought of an excuse. "I'm lactose intolerant and I had a glass of milk earlier!". I wasn't. I just hoped he knew that.
"Ew. Gross. Just go start plating!" he turned back to the sauce. No idea why he was disgusted, he literally asked.
I grabbed some plates and began to dish out the food. It was hard to move either of my arms. The stitches and the burn limited my movement.
If Bendy doesn't forgive me after this, I'm gonna kill him.
