Bendy's POV:

A few days had passed. No word from Alice, or the hospital holding her. I was worried sick. Is she dead? Or dying? Is she perfectly fine?

Damn I wish I had answers.

Strangely, though, Alice being admitted to the hospital gave me the inspiration to go back to planning. The sooner I planned, the sooner I could get out. The sooner I could get out, the sooner I could find Alice.

I'll gladly take Charley and Boris with me, though Charley would force me to include Barley. I'd leave Barley behind if I could.

I was starting to rethink my grudge against him though. Was I being too harsh? All he did was spill my milk, ruin one meal, and knock me over. He apologized and is still trying to!

Perhaps I was a little too harsh.

But now I'm afraid he's attempting another suicide. Not once have I seen him at mealtimes, and it's almost been a week! Every time I ask him about it, he tells me he was in the therapy room. Why would he only be in there during meals though?

Either way, I have a feeling he's up to something.

It was 6:45 PM. The others and I were in the room. Barley and Charley were watching TV, and I was talking with Boris.

"We need to get back on track." I told him quietly, not wanting the other two to hear me quite yet.

"With what? Escaping?" He answered, equally as quiet.

"Yep.".

"Okay, so what should we do?".

"Well, the whole 'getting in trouble' thing isn't working. We need a different plan.".

"Like what?".

"No clue. That's why I need to think about it.".

"Should we have a discussion?".

"Yeah, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to face Barley yet.".

"Are you still mad at him?!".

"Not necessarily, it's kinda turned into guilt now.".

"Just apologize.".

"He won't accept it.".

"I'm sure he will.".

"Well either way I ain't doing it.".

"Alright then, suit yourself.".

"Anyways, do you have any ideas?".

Boris fell silent as he thought.

"Maybe we just behave really well and earn ourselves up to blue. It may take a while but I'm sure it would work.".

"I seriously doubt those other two would behave long enough.".

"If freedom was on the line, I'm pretty sure they would.".

"Maybe. We need something else though. Behaving just wont cut it.".

He grew quiet again. He seemed to be out of ideas.

"Well, I can't really think of anything. That fire alarm idea is really clever though. We just have to get to bunny's office." he finally replied.

"But how? Misbehaving won't work and behaving wont either!".

"I don't know.".

"Maybe we can ask Charley. He's been taken to her office before, so let's ask him how he got there.".

"Good idea. That way we can at least get some ideas.".

"Hey Charley!" I shouted for him.

He looked back at me. "What?".

"You know that uh, bunny I think was her name?".

"Yeah? What about her?".

"How were you put into her office? Like, how were you sent there?".

He grew quiet as he thought.

"Why do you wanna know?" he then asked me.

"We're brainstorming escape plans again. Boris was thinking we pull the fire alarm but we gotta get to her office first.".

"Are you sure you wanna know?".

I found it strange why he sounded so unsure. How bad could an office be?

"Yep!".

He sighed before pausing the TV and turning towards us. Barley did the same but didn't bother to look at me. I didn't blame him.

"I was sent there after the experiments.".

"What experiments?".

"God you're so nosy! It's when the nurses put you through mental tests and do things to your body. We're basically like lab rats.".

"What kind of things do they do?!".

"A lot of things. They inject you, shock you, and scare you. I don't like talking about it.".

"But why do they do that?".

"it's their way of trying to 'fix' patients. That's why the patient sees bunny after the tests. Bunny decides whether the patient is fixed or not. Obviously, she didn't think I was fixed. If she did, I wouldn't still be here!".

I was shocked to hear that they were treating patients like lab rats.

"They only do it to purples though. Its basically their last effort to save us. Doesn't do anything though. So if you wanted to go through the experiments, no clue why you would, you'd have to become purple.".

"And to do that we have to-".

"Misbehave." Boris cut in. "We have to be bad.".

"Yep." Charley replied. "After you become purple you get to be tested on. If you survive the experiments, then you get to see Bunny.".

"What do you mean, 'IF I survive'?!" I stammered nervously.

"Why else do you think there aren't any other purples here?! They all died! It's only a miracle I survived.".

Before I could answer, he continued.

"But I aint gonna be around for long.".

"Wait what? What do you mean by that?" Barley interrupted with slight panic.

"The experiments don't just happen once. They continue until the patient dies or is considered fixed. I've gone through it twice, and the second time I almost died.".

"How did you almost die?" I asked him nervously.

"Whatever substance they injected me with gave me stomach cancer. One of the nurses felt bad and got me admitted into the hospital. I'm assuming she was fired for it, because she wasn't there when I came back. She was either fired or..." He fell silent.

"Or what?!".

"...dead." he seemed to be bothered by something. "Maybe that's why.".

He quickly snapped out of it.

"Either way, we gotta start by getting there. The quickest way to do that is to probably harm someone with something sharp. That's what got me from orange to purple.".

"Barley and I are both orange, so that should work!".

We all looked over at Boris, who seemed unsure.

"For Boris it may be harder. Maybe try to escape when outside? I know you probably don't wanna hurt anyone." Charley stated.

Boris was still quiet until he finally spoke.

"I don't think this is a good idea.".

"Well, it's the only way to get out." I told him.

"If I'm being honest..."

"I'd rather not escape at all.".
