Bendy's POV

Our conversation was soon interrupted by a female voice.

"Alright, the names I call will follow me to the therapy room for some group therapy!" a nurse shouted with joy.

I heard an array of different reactions. Some groaned while some cheered. The nurse soon began to call names. After a bit I heard mine. Boris' and Alice's names were also called. I stood up and approached the nurse, as well as everyone else who was called. She led us down a separate hallway. We soon arrived at a white wooden door decorated by flower stickers. She opened the door and motioned for us to enter, to which we did. I was greeted to a large round wooden table with chairs scattered around it. The walls had inspirational quotes and posters hanging from it. There were pillows and net chairs lying around as well.

"Okay everyone. Take your seats!" the nurse commanded as she clapped her hands.

I had no idea where to sit. Was there assigned seating? Or did we just sit wherever? I suddenly felt a hand on my back.

"Here. You can sit next to me!" Alice said with a grin. I smiled back as I followed her and Boris to their seats. Alice sat on the left of me, and Boris on the right. I waited for everyone to get situated to see what would happen next.

The nurse clapped her hands again. "Okay everyone, settle down! So, not sure if you guys knew this but we have someone new with us today!" she stated.

I could feel the room stare at me. Great, I've just been called out. I just wanted to fit in.

"His name is Bendy. Let's try and make him feel welcome! Bendy, would you like to lead the group discussion?".

"Uh, sure?".

"Great! And remember you don't have to speak if you don't want to!".

I sighed heavily before hearing someone new begin to speak.

"Why is your name Bendy? Or is that a nickname?" a green gowned girl asked me.

"It's my real name. Don't know why my parents chose it though." I answered with a chuckle, trying to seem friendly.

It wasn't long until questions were thrown at me from every angle.

"Why are you in the asylum?". "What's your favorite color?". "Do you have parents?". "What's your life like?". I couldn't possibly answer them all. Whenever I tried, I was interrupted by a different question. I grew increasingly more frustrated. It didn't help when the nurse just stared and watched, not bothering to tell them to zip it.

I finally had enough of the stupid questions. "Okay everyone just shut up for a minute!".

The room fell silent for a few seconds before I heard whispers and snarky remarks.

"Jeez, why's he so rude?". "I don't like the new guy at all.". "He doesn't even belong in our group.". it only made me angrier. I slammed my hands on the table and stood up.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOU'RE ALL SO ANNOYING!" I screamed out of frustration.

The room once again fell silent. Two people started to cry as others stared in disbelief.

"Nurse! He said a forbidden word!" a little boy shouted while pointing. I looked at Alice. She seemed really nervous as she looked down at the table. I glanced at Boris, who was covering his ears and had the look of fear on his face. I sighed and sat back down as I rubbed my head to calm down.

"I'm not talking anymore.".

"Okay... would anyone else like to speak?" the nurse mumbled nervously.

Some other woman began to speak, mainly about personal problems. It wasn't long until others joined in. I glanced at Alice once again. She wasn't looking at me. She wasn't reacting at all. Boris wasn't any different. I just groaned quietly as I buried my face into my hands, just waiting for this stupid talking session to be over.

After an hour and a half of listening to random people speak, we were finally permitted to leave. As I got up to exit with everyone else, the nurse grabbed my arm and held me back.

"Hey Ben. Mind if I speak to ya about something?".

I sighed. Great. What now? I just wanted to lay down. I was tired.

"Sure. What is it?".

"I know you're new here and you don't really know the rules, but we don't allow profanity during therapy. Screaming isn't really permitted either. It can cause flashbacks or panic attacks, and we can't have that happen. I'm not sure if you noticed, but it scared a few people.".

"I know, and I'm sorry. It was just so overwhelming. I didn't have a chance to answer!".

"I know, but you aren't allowed to react like that. I'm letting you off with a warning but if it happens again, you could be ranked down a color or isolated for a bit. M'kay?".

I nodded slowly. I understand what I did was wrong, but it was infuriating. She should've talked to everyone else as well!

"Great. Now go play! We'll be serving lunch in a bit!" she cheered as she let go of my arm. I gave a fake smile before turning and leaving the room. I walked back out to the playroom. Nothing changed. Everyone was still as rowdy as they were before.

I sat down with Alice and Boris. They greeted me but seemed more intimidated. I felt awful and decided to apologize for my actions.

(So sorry this chapter is short! I promise more is gonna come!)
