Bendy's POV

"Hey, uh, sorry for snapping back there. I was just frustrated. I wasn't yelling at either of you, honest!" I apologized to them sincerely. I truly did feel bed for snapping, but those people had it coming.

"Oh, it's alright. We weren't scared of you. We just don't like yelling in general." Alice soon spoke up.

"How come?".

"Well, it's a l-".

She was interrupted by the sound of a ringing bell. Oh great, what now? I looked over to where the sound was coming from. It was a nurse. A different one I haven't seen before.

"Alright everyone it's time for lunch! Today we're serving mac n' cheese, tomato soup, and grilled cheese! Remember to only sit with your color!" she yelled out to the room full of patients.

I was even more irritated. Now I couldn't even sit with my friends. This place is awful! I watched everyone get up and leave before I finally stood, dragging my feet behind everyone else. I just wanted to go back to the room. I needed some time to cool down.

I sighed as I walked in and looked for other yellows. The room was large and had white tile flooring and white walls. There were vending machines, microwaves, toasters, silverware, and napkins set out everywhere. The yellow table was one of the first I saw, and the closest to the entrance. It wasn't overly crowded but had a decent amount of people at it.

I walked over to the table and sat down. Everyone seemed just as nervous as me. I looked around to see where everyone else was sat. I spotted Boris sitting at the green table, though he was too far away for me to get his attention. Next, I spotted Edgar at the blue table. He was so happy it was heartwarming. I had to admit he was an adorable little guy. I then spotted Barley and Alice at the orange table. They were right next to our table. I waved at them and called out.

"Alice! Barley! Over h-!".

I was interrupted by a hand over my mouth telling me to shush. I turned around and was greeted by a strange man. Based on his body language, I could tell he had been here for a while.

"Woah pal, you can't talk to other colors during mealtime!".

"Wait why not?" I asked him.

He shrugged. "It's just the rules.".

I looked back over at the orange table before sighing quietly. I scanned the room to see if I could see when the food was coming. Instead, I spotted Charley. There was no purple table. He was the only one. He was sitting alone. I felt bad for him. I also got flashbacks to high school, when I had no one to sit with. It was a lonely time.

He didn't seem happy either. He was looking down at the table with his face on the palm of his head. Unfortunately, the man noticed I was staring.

"What are you staring at?".

"Why is that guy all alone?" I asked with sympathy.

"Oh. He's the only purple. Not like anyone would wanna sit with him anyways.".

"What if I go sit with him?".

Him and the whole table just laughed, as if I was kidding.

"Yeah, good one dude!".

I just grumbled and looked down at my lap. The people here are so rude.

We waited a few minutes before finally getting our food. We were each given a small bowl of macaroni, a larger bowl of soup, and a plate with grilled cheese on it. I didn't really complain about the food, although something more "Adult-like" would've been nice. The only silverware I was given was a plastic spoon. This may be weird, but I prefer to eat pasta with a fork. So, like any reasonable person, I made my way to silverware holders to grab one.
