(trigger warning for violence, death/mentions of death, ghosts/demons, séance, drowning, and fire)

(*eminem voice* shady's back)

I watched in horror as the board blew up into smoke and flames. Like an idiot, I ran forward and tried to stop the board from burning. Mikey and Ray yelled at me to get back, but I put my hands in the fire anyways and clamped them down onto the board. I squeezed my eyes shut tight. The yelling went away. My hands were not burning in fire.

I opened my eyes and looked around. It was black. I was dreaming. When had I fallen asleep? The only difference in the room this time was that there were glass barriers all around me, and a lock on the outside. It looked just like Harry Houdini's water torture cell. I punched and kicked the glass. Nothing.

I could faintly hear Mikey and Ray yelling. It reminded me of my reality. Why had I put my hands in the fire? I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't forced to do so, even if I was panicking. I inspected my hands. Nothing. They were undamaged, though they were red from hitting the glass walls.

Then I felt something cold underneath my feet. Water. It soon began to splash around the soles of my shoes and soak into my socks. When it reached my ankles, I tried to reach and punch the glass of the ceiling, but I wasn't tall enough to get there, and wit's my attempt, the water filled up to my waist. I banged desperately on the barrier, but nobody came. The water was speeding up and was right below my chin. There was no way I could make it out alive. There was no key and no chance that the demons would get me out. I held my breath as it reached my lip. I ran my hand tiredly over my face. After all of this, maybe it was time to just give up.

"HEY!" Somebody yelled. I looked up.

It was Frank.

He reached down into the box, which didn't have a ceiling, apparently, and grabbed my hand. I gripped his hand tightly and he began to lift me out of the cell. I did my best to pull myself up once I'd reached the top. He placed me down on the ground and smiled at me.

"You're useless," somebody else said. Frank seemed to be frozen in time. Everything seemed to the be frozen. The water in the cell stopped rising and swishing, too. I looked up and frowned angrily.

"I don't know who just said that, but assuming it's one of the demons, I don't care anymore," he yelled, and it echoed around the dark room. "Your tricks are almost starting to get old."

"How about this one?" The voice returned, and Frank's smile was split open up to his ears. He opened his mouth wide, and his whole face was pulled back as a bleeding demon lunged at me.

I woke up.

"GERARD!"

I turned around. Ray and Mikey were staring at me like I had fire on my hands, which I did, now that I noticed it.

"How are you not passed out?!" Mikey screeched. "Or burning?!"

I shook my hands and the fire went out. Huh. "I don't know," I replied. "I'm going to try to find Frank again. He'll probably know why."

And they stared at me like I was nuts.
