Prologue

I just woke up with the worst hangover I had in years. Last night was an eye opener. I lost someone, but I learned to finally go back to the old me. The careless, the competitive, the girl that will conquer everything.

Yesterday I saw my ex having sex with the girl he told me not to worry about. Kaibigan lang daw. Pero putangina, kaibigan pero ka-sex nya. Buti na lang wala akong binigay sa kanya. We only last for less than a year but the pain I got was too much.

Pagkababa ko sa kwarto ko nasa receiving area sya. He got flowers with him. Inabot nya, hinampas ko agad sa mukha nya. Ang kapal ng mukha nyang puntahan ako dito. Grabe yung ungol nya sa babae nya.

"Louisse, let's talk please." He begged then kneeled. Nakita pa sya nung mga kasambahay namin.

"Don't make a scene here. Tara sa kitchen." I managed to say. Sinundan nya lang ako. I asked my yaya to make me an iced coffee. Umupo kami sa dining area. He rarely go here. Nahihiya daw sya.

"I'm sorry, I'm just drunk." He said. But, I tried hard not to throw all my breakfast to him.

"Why?" I asked.

"I don't know. I'm really drunk. You know I love you, right?!" He asked with tears in his eyes. What a fucking cheating bastard.

"Why?" I asked again.

"I don't know. She's like me. Ang taas ng pagitan natin. You're so rich. Ang yaman ng pamilya mo. Nanliliit akong sumasama sayo sa mga party nyo." He answered.

"You're too much. You're smarter than me. You're richer, crazy. Hindi ko alam unti-unti na akong nanliliit sa mga nakikita ko. I saw how your cousins looked at me. Nanliliit ako." He added

"Then, why did you court me kung alam mong ang laki ng agwat natin. And for the record hindi matapobre ang mga kamag-anak ko. Don't used that against me. Gago ka lang talaga." I said in gritted teeth.

"Because I really love you. You're the best in school. Everyone likes you. Pero ang hirap pala sabayan ng lifestyle mo." He argued.

"You don't even know how to eat a street food. Nakita kong diring-diri ka nung inabot ko sayo. You just tried kasi pinilit kita." He added.

"Now, I know why my best friends don't like you. I actually defended you. I never looked down on you. Hindi ako nandidiri, hindi lang ako sanay. I actually told my friends na kahit hindi ka mayaman marunong kang magsumikap. You played basketball for your scholarship. Pero tangina ka, ibinaba ko yung sarili ko para hindi ka manliit." I said angrily.

"It's not my job to boost your ego. And it's not my fault I was raised and born in this kind of household. Thank you for cheating, I forgot who I am, but now it cleared my mind and eyes how you're not even close to what I deserve." I said then threw my iced coffee to his face.

"Get lost. I don't need a dirt in my life." I said then walked out.

Trixie: Damn, I missed the galante girl.

Justine: Yeah. Book our flight queen bee.

Because we have a month before med school starts I needed a diversion. I cried once, I think that's enough. Isang taon din akong nagtipid para hindi ma-offend yung gago kong ex. Kasalanan ko bang hindi ako naipanganak sa laylayan.
