Chapter 30

Days passed quickly. I'm done with med school. Graduation marked the culmination of all the hardships and sacrifices I have made to pursue my dream. It was a long journey, not the best but something to be surely proud of.

"Congrats, Ms. Cum laude." Lance said smiling.

"Thanks, dude." I said then hugged him.

"Congrats to my Christina Yang." Chloe uttered then hugged me. The two love birds also greeted me. Dom smiled at me, but I didn't.

I was looking for my parents when I bumped with Gerard's family. They smiled at me genuinely. Like nothing happened.

"Congrats, anak." Tito said then hugged me.

"Congrats, hija. Can you do lunch with us?" Tita offered. I looked at Gerard confused.

"They don't know." He mouthed.

"I would love to po. But, my family is waiting for me." I declined.

"Maybe they can join us. I'm so proud of you anak. You both graduated as cum laude's." Tita said then hugged me.

"Fuck you." I mouthed to Gerard.

"I'm sorry." He mouthed back.

"Tita, I think you should know. We actually broke up. Your son cheated on me." I said calmly. She looked at me devastated then looked at Gerard. Even his brothers were not talking. On normal scenarios Calix would be teasing us.

"Gerardo Luis!" Tita kinda shouted.

"Lou, let's go." Lance said then offered his hand. I took it.

"We'll go ahead po. Thank you po, for everything." I said smiling then walked away.

"Thank you for looking for me. That was awkward." I murmured.

He smiled. "Got you, Louisse Alexandria."

For our internship, Chloe, Trix, me and Lance had the same hospital. We also lived together. Sanay na kami kay Lance. Tig-iisa naman kami ng room. It was fun being around them.

"Lou, sa off natin bgc naman." Trix suggested.

"Sure, but I'll still review while drinking." I said.

Lance laughed. "Are you really out to beat him? So it's the top you're competing now?"

"Yeah. Maybe that time, I'll be really happy. There's no way but up. I'll fucking see him on the induction day." I uttered seriously.

"Nothing's gonna stop our girl! Go, we'll support you." Chloe said then shoved another shot. Kanina pa kami nandito sa Katipunan. Sobrang galing, kasi duty mate kaming lahat. Pero si Lance lang yung kagroup ko sa kanila.

"I'm so sleepy." I murmured when we got home. Sanay na sanay na kaming umuuwi ng maaga. We partied like crazy, but we reviewed in between.

"Don't forget to alarm. May 8 am duty tayong lahat." Lance reminded us all. We just gave him a nod and went to our different rooms, 3 am na.

"Hangover?" Lance asked when he handed me my coffee. I had only four hours of sleep. Antok na antok pa ako. Buti na lang pre-duty kami. He cooked us food every day. May instant chef kami dahil sa kanya.

"A bit. Buti na lang OPD lang tayo for OB." I murmured. I sat on our stool.

"Do you need paracetamol or ibuprofren? I have in my room." He offered.
