Chapter 29

On my way home, rain poured heavily. I wanted to laugh how the storm showed sympathy. And it's not helping that I got stuck in the traffic for two hours. Yung pagod, puyat at sama ng loob ko nagsabay-sabay. It was the craziest day for me. I just want to shut down.

"What happened?" Chloe asked then gave me a towel. I got soaked in the rain. Nilakad ko na mula sa kanto para makarating sa condo. I cried heavily.

"He..he cheated on me, Chlo." I mumbled. She cried when I got down on my knees and hugged it.

"Lou, magpalit ka muna. Magkakasakit ka nyan." Mahinang bigkas nya. Pero tuloy-tuloy yung luha ko. Hindi natatapos,  hindi nauubos.

"Bal, was I not enough? May kulang ba sa akin? Kay Yves sobra, pero kay Ge kulang. Tangina, mababaliw na ako." Malamyang sabi ko.

She cried louder than me. "Lou, wala. You're enough. Fuck that asshole."

"I felt like I died today. Not just because he cheated on me, but Dom was there. He let his cousin cheat on me. Si Dom, Chlo. Yun yung sobrang sakit." Nanginginig na sabi ko.

She shouted. " What?! Dominque was there? Tangina, kapatid ka na nya."

"Chlo, I felt weird. Like everything was awful today. I can't think straight." I murmured. Pinatayo nya ako at pinasok sa kwarto ko sa condo.

"Bal, take a bath first. You'll get sick." She said still crying. I went to my shower. I cried harder than how I cried a while ago when I walked home. We were okay for the past months. He assured me of things. I'm so ready to settled down with him. But he just broke all the promises and worst, he broke me.

Paglabas ko ng CR nag-abot ni Chloe ng tsaa. I haven't eaten anything. The last meal I had was last night. Hapon na.

"Hindi pa ako kumakain." I said when she hugged me tighter.

"Ano gusto mo? Order ako." She asked, then got me a chair.

"Kahit ano." I mumbled. She got her phone from her pocket.

"Dom and Ge were here while you're in the shower. I told them hindi ka pa umuuwi." Malungkot na sabi nya.

"I slapped them for you. I know you won't, so I did it for you." She informed me. I cried again.

"How can Dom do that to you?! We are like twins. Mas matagal pa nya tayong nakasama compared sa gago nyang pinsan." Naiiyak na sabi nya. She got the blower and she dried my hair while we wait for our food.

"I don't know. It felt like I was in a show. Nothing is making sense. Am I dreaming? Because this felt like a nightmare. Gusto ko ng magising. Ang sakit na." I murmured.

"Kain ka muna. You'll faint in that state." Pagpupumilit nya nung dumating yung inorder nya. Kumain ako habang humahagulgol. Halos hindi ako makakain.

"What happened?" she asked when I finished eating.

"I saw him in bed with the girl I'm telling you about. He cheated on me the way Yves cheated on me. I'm going crazy." I sobbed. She's rubbing my back gently.

"You told me yesterday you're nervous. Did you know before you went to his place?" She asked lowly.

I shook my head. "No. It's because I'm delayed. We talked about doing the pregnancy test together, that's why I went to his place. But, I did the test last night."
