Chapter 2

The next day late akong nakapasok kasi nagbasa pa ako ng trans kagabi. Magkasama kami hanggang 2 am. We both reviewed for a quiz today. Paulit-ulit nya akong inaasar.

"Good morning, babe." Gerard said then kissed me on my lips briefly. Chloe looked at me with half-opened mouth. Kahit si Trixie nagulat sa ginawa ni Gerard. Umupo na lang ako sa tabi nya. Dumaan si Ian at nag-abot na naman ng bulaklak.

"Oh, that's why." Chloe mouthed like she realized we were just faking it.

"Can't he stop?" Dom said annoyed. I'm between him and Gerard.

"Just accept it. Sayang naman." Ian commented.

"How much is it? I'll pay. And can you tell your friend to send me the bill of everything he bought for my girlfriend, I'll pay so you won't play a pity party here." Gerard said seriously. I'm just staring at him. Umalis naman si Ian nung pati si Justine binara na sya.

"Where to?" Chloe asked. Lunch break na kasi.

"Yellow cab na lang tayo." Trixie suggested.

"Let's just use one car." Dom said.

"Let's use mine." Gerard uttered. Pumayag naman kami. Sa harap ako sumakay kasi panay ang tulak ni Chloe. Naiirita na nga ako kasi kahit wala si Ian dikit ng dikit si Gerard.

"Babe, just eat first." He said when I'm multitasking with eating and reviewing for our afternoon quiz.

"Louisse, kain ka muna." Dom repeated.

"Sige na, kain lang kayo." I said. I heard Gerard cussed, I chose to ignore.

"Your smile says you aced the quiz." Gerard muttered. I just smiled and nodded. Worth it yung puyat.

"Anong gusto mong dinner natin?" Tanong nya nung nasa kotse nya kami. Sa kanya na ako sumabay kasi may pupuntahn daw si Dom.  Naggrab lang kasi ako nung morning.

"What do you mean natin?" I asked confused.

"Let's eat together. It's lonely eating alone. Saang resto mo gusto?" He asked again. I just told him my fave dim sum place.

"I'll pay. You paid for our lunch." I said when he's getting his card.

"Baby, ako na." He insisted. Pero inabot ko agad yung card ko. He just sighed.

"Do you pay for everyone's meal? Kasi nung lunch parang inaasahan  nilang ikaw magbabayad." Seryosong sabi nya.

"Yeah. I pay most of the time or Dom." I answered.

"When you're on a date? Did you pay?" He asked.

"Ako. Naawa akong wala syang pera e. Mostly kasama namin yung barkada ko, tapos ang dami nila umorder. Nakonsenya ako once kasi nagjeep sya pauwi para magkasya yung pera nya." I said sadly.

"See? Why did he cheat on you. You're like the fucking best." He commented. I just smiled.

"Mukha ba akong matapobre?" Mahinang tanong ko nung nasa kotse nya kami.

"No. Why?" Mahinang sabi nya.

"Hinatid ko sya gamit yung car ko, tapos iba tingin nung mga kamag-anak nya dati. So never na akong bumalik sa bahay nila." Sabi ko.

"Tss. You're not. I have known you since we were six. Mabait ka naman. Maldita lang." He said laughing. I rolled my eyes.

"Nakakain ka na ba ng street food?" Seryosong tanong ko.
