Chapter 31

Just as planned I enrolled us in three top review centers in the Metro. On the first day Chloe and Trix attended the first one, and he's there. On the second review center he was not. So we chose the second one.

"This is crazier than med school. Ang bilis, mabilis pa kay Chester." Chloe said. I almost choke with her words. Wala ng premo yung bunganga nya minsan. Even Lance sometimes choke.

"Filter your words." I said.

"Yeah, please fucking do, Chloe Francesca." Justine murmured. Sumama sya sa amin with a promise that his loyalty stays with me and not with the two assholes. I rented two condos, for sleeping and review area. But, my room was at the review area. Hindi ko kinakaya yung mga landian ni Jus at Trix.

"Wala pa yung lecturer, matulog ka muna." Lance said, I looked at him and creased my nose. He rested my head on his shoulder. I closed my eyes. He woke me up few minutes later. Ganun lagi yung scenario namin sa review center.

"What's for dinner?" I asked.

"What do you like to eat?" Lance asked. He went to our kitchen and opened the fridge.

"I'm craving for sinigang or sisig." I replied.

He turned his gaze at me. "We forgot to go to the supermarket. Let's just go out."

"Okay, I'll ask them if they want to join us." I said then stood up. But the three declined. Trix and Jus wanted to sleep. Chloe was waiting for kuya Chester.

"Lou, eat first." He said when I'm reading while eating.

"Don't mind me. Sanay ako sa ganito." I uttered without looking at him.

"Won't you get indigestion?" He asked with concern.

"No. I'm used to this. Just eat." I murmured.

"Stop sleeping on the couch. Why don't you sleep in your room?" I muttered.

He smiled. "Mag-isa mo lang sa review condo e. Dapat dun na lang sila Jus."

"It's fine. Sanay akong mag-isa." I commented.

"Hindi porket sanay ka, okay na. What if something happens." He argued.

"Then buy a foam instead of sleeping on the couch." I suggested. "Hindi ka man lang ba nahihirapan?"

"I'm fine. What subject were you done reviewing?" He said lowly.

"Bio and ana. You?" I mumbled.

"Just finished ana." He replied.

On the next days, we just settled with takeouts. Wala na rin kasi kaming oras lumabas. It's a waste of time too if Lance will cook, it's an inconvenience for him.

"Coffee?" He offered. I just gave him a small nod.

"What time are you planning to sleep?" He asked again. Nakaupo sya sa sarili nyang review table. And I am too. Kanya-kanya kami ng table.

"Around 4, then I'll wake up by 6 or 6:30." I answered.

"Why are you going for the top really?" He asked me with a serious tone. I was dumbfounded for a couple of seconds.

"Before he broke me, it's because we promised each other that. Or maybe my brother also was the top of their batch so the expectations were too high. Or maybe my relatives and even my parents are doctors or maybe I want to show people that I'm good not because I have everything." I explained.
