Chapter 15

** Carol's P.O.V **

"Shit! She's unconscious!" I exclaim

"Shouldn't one of us have stayed with Katrina?" Zasha asks

"I forgot about that! Someone go back to Katrina's room!" I exclaim

"Carol you should go back, we'll get you once Janet has been treated" Governor Semenov suggests

I nod, I spin around and rush back into Katrina's room. I notice Janet's phone on the bed, I pick it up to place it on the dresser when it rings. I decided to answer it on Janet's behalf

"Hello?" I say

"Hey Janet, it's Shane from the United States Government. You called a few days ago stating you knew 2 Russian spies that could give us secrets?" The man asked

I gasp, Janet was... working for the US government..? I couldn't believe what I was hearing, Janet was going to sell out Zasha and Katrina...

"You still there Janet?" The man asks

"Oh? Yeah! I'm still here! Could we possibly talk about this another time?" I ask

"Yes of course, I'll call back in a few days. Have a great rest of your day" the man responds

"Okay thank you!" I answer as I hang up

A few minutes later Zasha comes into the room

"Hey Carol, The doctor is checking out Janet. I came back in case Roger attacked, since I have some training" Zasha smiles

"Janet was- I mean Janet is- I mean Janet-" I was cut off

"Janet is what Carol?" Zasha asks

"Well Janet is- I mean- there is a lot of things I need to tell you" I answer

"Start one at a time, with the most important thing first" Zasha replies

"Janet has a plan" I answer

"Well that's great!" Zazha exclaims

"No it's not great because Janet has a plan to sell you and Katrina out to the US government. She just got a phone call from a US government agent" I answer

"What?! Janet wouldn't do that, she's way to nice for that. Besides she's on our side not Roger's" Zasha answers

"Zasha she's not in Roger's side, but she isn't on ours either. I say we wake up Katrina, explain to her what's going on and get the hell out of here" I say

"Now hold on Carol, we should wake up Katrina and tell her about this but we should wait until Janet wakes up to ask her about this" Zasha answers

"You know Janet will just deny it, Zasha you and Katrina are in danger. We have to get out of here" I answer

"Carol you're overreacting, do you really think Janet would sell us out?" Zasha asks

"I didn't but now im not sure" I admit

"Carol Janet's our friend, I think she's being framed" Zasha answers

"I believe she's toying with us, she had to earn our trust" I reply

"She's had our trust for a while now, don't you think if she wanted to sell us out she would have done it earlier?" Zasha asks

"No, she couldn't do it to early or she'd be a suspect, so she waited..." I answer

"Carol you know what I think? I think you're stressed out. You're overworked, overwhelmed. You need to just relax, then think about what you're accusing Janet of being. The stress is changing your mind" Zasha replies
