Chapter 14

** Janet's P.O.V **

I begin to wake up, I sit up and stretch. Roger had already gotten up, I head downstairs to find him on the phone in the kitchen.

"I don't care that you did it I care that you didn't make sure it was finished!" Roger yells quietly

"Look just forget it, forget it. I'll talk to you later, bye" Roger hangs up

I head into the kitchen, I sit down next to him.

"Good morning Jan, sleep well?" Roger asks

"Yea I did" I smile

"You missed a phone call earlier, your southern friend called. You want to call her back?" Roger asks

"Yea, it might be important" I answer

"Okay, I'm going to watch some television. Here's the phone, I've already had breakfast so you can just fix something for yourself" Roger smiled as he handed me his phone and headed into the living room

I call up Carol, once she answers she sounded worried

"Hello?" Carol asks

"Hey Carol, sorry I missed your call I just woke up. Is something wrong? You sound worried" I ask

"Yeah... something happened last night.." Carol answers

"What happened?? Is Katrina okay??" I ask, instantly worried about Katrina

"...." Carol doesn't respond

"Carol what happened" I repeat

"Katrina was shot 3 times... once in the arm and twice in the chest.." Carol sighs

"What?! Is she... is she dead..?" I ask

"No she's not dead... in critical condition that the doctors say won't make it but she's not dead" Carol answers

"Where are you?? I'll ask Roger to give me a ride, I don't know if he will or not but I have to see Katrina. Who shot her anyway?" I ask

"We're at the Town Central hospital, room 125. We don't know who shot her, we think it was Roger. Was he with you all night?" Asks Carol

"Yea he was with me the whole night" I answer

"Okay, so we have no idea who did it." Carol answers

"I'll be there as soon as I can, If Katrina doesn't make it.... I want to be with her in her final moments.." I reply with a sigh

"Okay Janet... I'll see you soon.. try not to worry to much.." Carol answers

I hang up and rush into the living room, I had to play it sly or something could ruin my plan

"Roger! Someone shot Katrina!" I exclaimed

"And for once it wasn't me! Where is she?? I'll take you too her" Roger smiled

"She's at the town central hospital, room 125. We have to hurry, Carol is already there" I answer

"Okay, let's go!" Roger exclaims as he grabs his keys

I head outside and into the passengers side of Roger's car, once we arrive Roger turns to me

"I'll be back later Jan, be careful. I hope Katrina gets better soon" Roger smiled

"Thank you Roger" I smile as I get out and rush inside

I rush up to Katrina's room, once I arrive I knock on the door. Carol answers

"Janet!" Carol hugs me tightly
