Macy's POV

~

"Good morning," I mumble through a yawn as I shuffle into the living room of mine and Sophie's apartment.

She looks up from the cup of coffee she's pouring for herself and sends me a smile. "Hey, I've got to run to my morning class, but I've put toast in the toaster for you already."

I smile, leaning against the counter. "You're the best, Soph."

"I know. You got any plans for the day?" She asks, putting the lid on her mug and bringing it up to her lips to take a sip.

I lift a hand to the back of my neck as a blush covers my cheeks. "Uh, Raine's coming over soon."

She smirks, raising an eyebrow. "You guys have been spending time together every day for almost two weeks now. You together yet?"

I shake my head. "No. Not officially, but I haven't been seeing anyone else and I don't think she has either. I mean, we're basically acting like a couple at this point. Should I just ask her?"

"Definitely. Raine's a straight forward girl. I know she likes you, she's probably worried about going too fast with you. Make the first move." She advises, walking closer to give me a reassuring hug. "I've got to go. Good luck."

I'm left in our apartment alone after that. I pour myself some coffee and put jam on my toast before sitting at the counter to eat it. Two bites in and I hear the front door open. I smile, already knowing who it is.

"Good morning, chica! I know you said you're bad at painting, but I brought the stuff anyway because I want to do that thing where you both do a painting and swap canvas' after five minutes. I thought it would be super cute and we would both get to keep one. I also bought donuts for us to have for lunch." Raine stops beside me as she finishes speaking and I hear her drop a bunch of bags.

Looking up to my left, I smile when I see her. Her dark curls frame her wide brown eyes. She's beautiful and I misses her. "I'll give it a go. How are you?"

"Better now that I've seen you. You look cute as fúck."

"I woke up five minutes ago." I deadpan.

"And yet you look gorgeous." She grins before bending down to kiss me. I suck in a little breath through my nose when our lips meet and my eyes fall closed. It's hard to describe the feeling I get when she kisses me. Safe, calm, peaceful, perhaps. I feel right. I feel like I'm exactly where I belong. And I think that's what I've always been looking for.

I pull away slightly and murmur, "Are you my girlfriend yet?"

Raine grins against my lips, "I think so. You want me to be?"

I nod softly, "Please."

"You're fúcking adorable." Then she kisses me again and contentment I feel is absolutely unmatched.

"I need to get dressed." I murmur as I pull away again. She moves back and I stand up from my seat. "Finish off my toast for me?"

"If you insist." She grins and takes my seat, immediately digging in.

I chuckle to myself and watch her for a second before turning and heading towards my bedroom. I change into some leggings and a sweatshirt and put on some warm socks as well. My hair gets pull up into a bun as well and I quickly wash my face. I managed to brush my teeth earlier, but I didn't get further than that before now.
