"Joel..!"

"Brett! Oh f*ck, your back!?! What happened to you!?!? Are you alright!?"

"I'm fine.. Look, may I borrow a T shirt or something?"

"Yeah of course you can, hang on."

Joel quickly stepped halfway back into his workshop at the back of his store and grabbed a brand new white T shirt still in its plastic packaging for his best customer.

"Here Brett,  take this. But what the hell happened?"

Brett stepped into the small change room and replied through the curtains as he got changed.

"My wings.. they protracted."

Joel's eyes shot open as he grinned.

"What!? What on earth excited you so much?"

Brett came out of the change room smirking as he pointed to the storefront where Eddy stood.

"I brought him with me. I told you about him on the phone. That's Eddy."

"Oh Jesus f*ck, how cute is he?! I'd spring my wings out too if I had a pair."

"Or six."

"I beg your pardon?"

"I have twelve wings Joel."

"F*ck, you'll really need to learn how to control them Brett."

"I'm working on it. But just look at him."

"Indeed, so Eddy, was it?"

"Yeah.. hi."

Eddy shyly shook Joel's hand.

"Oh wow Brett, he's super adorable. Cute and goth. I love it. So, you two met at work?"

Brett and Eddy looked at each other and grinned.

"We.. don't work together."

" You don't?"

"No.. I mean, Joel y'know where I work, right ? Like.. downstairs?? Eddy works... upstairs."

Eddy shrugged.

"I suppose that's my division but I rarely go up there."

"Wait, what? Eddy, are you an ang.."

"Joel, Eddy prefers to be called a Guardian."

"Wow. You guys have so much in common"

Brett smiled and cast a gaze on Eddy who looked absolutely stunned. He stammered.

"H, how could you say that!?!? We're like.. the complete opposite...!"

Joel chuckled.

"You two start off as opposites but just looking at how you guys dress... Such free spirits. I bet you guys get along like a house on fire."

Eddy shrugged.

"I wouldn't know. We just met."

Brett was much more enthusiastic in his reply.

"I know right, Joel!? We so do!!!"

Joel pressed the retract button of his tape measure.

"Okay.. we are done with the measurements. Geez Brett, your new.. friend, Eddy, he's so tall and handsome. I'm gonna have so much fun making him his outfit."

Eddy blushed.

Brett grinned.

"So Eddy do you have anything in mind?"

"Well Joel, I really liked Brett's outfit you designed. It's in my least favourite colour white and yet it looks so good on him. I'm supposed to wear white for work and I was hoping you could make something for me that suited me?

"Oh yeah, I could definitely make white work for you Eddy, no sweat. A different design for you because you're taller.. there is so much I could do when you have the height. I'll also find the right tone of white for you Eddy, you see, Brett's skin tone is actually lighter than his outfit. He is ridiculously pale, that boy needs to get some sun.

"Ahem, excuse me Joel, I am right here y'know."

"Hey didn't I make it happen for you or not?"

"Yes Joel, you're a f*cking genius."

Joel grinned.

"And I promise to deliver something incredible for your friend, too. So, Eddy, anything else you want in an outfit apart from it being fabulous and white?"

Eddy was flipping through Joel's sketchbook which included various designs of outfits. They all looked amazing and Eddy wasn't sure which one would suit him. He noticed Joel had scribbled notes on each page: "tall" "broad shoulders" "long limbs" "narrow hips" "long neck". Eddy assumed they were certain features that the apparel design would complement.

Eddy looked up from the sketchbook.

"Yes! I need a gusset in my pants."

Brett raised an eyebrow.

"What the hell is that? Sounds dangerous."

Joel and Eddy burst out laughing. Joel grinned at Eddy.

"Ignore the ignoramus and talk to me Eddy. Why do you need a gusset?"

Joel then glanced towards Brett and cupped his hands around Eddy's ear as he whispered seductively, with just enough volume so that Brett could hear him;

"I'll make you a nice gusset Eddy.. to make you're extra comfortable.."

Brett widened his eyes.

"OMFG what the hell is it!!?!?"

Eddy shook his head as he shyly replied;

"I need it because I'm quite mobile with my work. Same for my tops.. I can't wear jackets that will restrict my movements"

Joel nodded as he winked.

"Okay, gotcha."

Brett and Eddy left Joel's shop after Joel promised he would email Eddy with some sample designs for Eddy to choose from.

"Thank you for introducing me to Joel, Brett. He seems like a great guy and a fantastic designer."

"Eddy.. are you gonna tell me what the hell a gasset's for? It sounds like a weapon of some sort."

Eddy let out a giggle.

"It's just apparel lingo for extra fabric to allow more mobility in outfits.. "

"Is that it!? But why would you need that..."

They turned into the narrow street where Brett had parked his car.

"..Brett."

"Yes?"

"If any weird sh*t happens, stand back to back with me, okay?"

"What sort of weird sh*t?"

"Someone is trying to break into your car."

"Oh f*ck."
