"I'm sorry Brett..."

"Eddy, don't be ridiculous. It's no big deal."

"You don't even have your stuff with you."

"Well, then just bloody lend me something to sleep in and to wear tomorrow.  It's no big deal,  it's okay."

"So you will stay the night?"

"Hey I offered, didn't I? Of course, I will. I don't want you feeling upset and scared all night."

Brett bit his lower lip.

"Nah, Eddy, I don't buy it."

Brett felt around for the bedside lamp and turned it on. He grabbed his glasses and put them on his face.

Oh my god...!

The bedroom was partially lit up with the bedside lamp and Brett now had a visual of himself and Eddy, Eddy's back hunched over with arms wrapped around him and face buried in the crook of his neck. Feeling Eddy's embrace was one thing. Seeing themselves like that in the mirror (the built-in closet had floor to ceiling sliding doors which were mirrors) was something else. Brett gently put his hand on the back of Eddy's head and whispered;
