I Do ❤️ (Part 2)

Everyone stood waiting for a few minutes. Lan Wangji's heart was now really out of his chest, but he looked focused and composed. Lan Xichen gave him a reassuring smile. 

Soon after they heard footsteps coming their way, as Lan Wangji turned to see, what he saw he had no words to describe the feeling he had. The sight of Wei Wuxian made him think of him as the most beautiful person he's ever laid eyes on. 

Jiang Yanli and Jiang Cheng stood next to Wei Wuxian and walked along with him to where Lan Wangji stood at the end of the aisle. The couple stood next to one another, eyes gazing into each other, very much in love. Wei Wuxian smiled his big smile and Lan Wangji couldn't help but smile as well. He had to say something to his beloved. 

"You look beautiful."

"You're not too bad yourself Lan Zhan" Wei Wuxian spoke with a small chuckle.

"How lucky am I to have you."

"And I, you. Darling." 

The two soon began their descent down the aisle, arm in arm. It took Lan Wangji everything to not keep staring at his soon-to-be husband and cultivation partner. Once they reached the end of the aisle, where family altars stood for the two, they faced each other. Hand in hand, they exchanged their vows, Wei Wuxian going first.

"Lan Zhan, to say I love you is an understatement. You brighten my days when I feel down and you make me feel a love and warmth that I've never felt before...." he stopped for a bit as tears rolled down his cheeks. He continued soon after, "I promise to love and cherish you for the rest of our lives and hold you close to my heart. I promise to care for you when you're hurt or sick and to lift you up when you feel stressed or down. You are absolutely perfect, darling, so please know that I love you so much."

Lan Zhan moved to wipe his tears with his finger. Wei Wuxian leaning into his touch as he quietly sniffled, smiles on both of their faces. Now it was Lan Zhan's turn.

"Do you remember the day we first met? I don't think words could possibly describe the feelings I had for you all those years ago. I knew you were always the one I wanted to be with. You are beautiful, funny, kind, and loving. I love all your flaws and promise to protect and keep you safe. To stay by your side no matter the challenges we face. And to nurture your dreams. You are the joy I didn't know I lacked, and the strength I didn't know I needed. I promise to love you all my days, my beloved."

Now everyone was really tearing up at these vows they exchanged to each other, some more emotional than others. Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli couldn't help but cry a little loudly. Lan Xichen and Lan Sizhui also cried but more quietly. 

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji turned to the guests and smiled at them. Wei Wuxian was tearing again, he was so happy.

"They seem to really be into this, haha."

"Mn."

Lan Wangji couldn't keep his eyes off his lover as Lan Sizhui walked down the aisle with the wedding bands in hand. Lan Wangji took Wei Wuxian's right hand in his, grabbed the wedding band, and tenderly placed the band around his ring finger. He then lifted his hand to his lips and kissed the ring signifying that Wei Wuxian was now his.

Wei Wuxian returned the favor by taking Lan Wangji's left hand and placing his respective wedding band around his ring finger. In an eager motion, he kissed the Lan's wedding band as well. The two had a loving look in their eyes for the other. Everyone was now ecstatic. 

 Soon cheers could be heard from all clans as Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian were finally married. The couple was very happy and with that in mind, Lan Wangji put his arms around his beloved's waist and kissed him passionately. Wei Wuxian leaned into the kiss with so much love; arms around the taller man's neck. 

"I love you so much, Wei Ying."

"I love you too, Lan Zhan"

They were so happy. They were finally married.
