Wei Wuxian was feeling sick most of the morning. During archery practice, he tried his best to hold his own since Lan Wangji was out of Gusu. He knew that his husband wouldn't be back for quite a while, and he was already missing him.
After archery was over, he decided to go to Wen Qing to see what the issue with him being so sick could be. Lan Wangji expected that maybe it was a cold or a fever, and Wei Wuxian wasn't sure what to think. He just wanted this disgusting nightmare of vomiting and feeling tired to go as fast as possible. Wei Wuxian was now walking to Wen Qing's Medicine Room.
As he walked in, he called out to her, "Wen Qing?"
He got no response. At this point, he began to look around the room. Everything was organized. Medicinal herbs we neatly placed in their small bags all along the wall in shelves; sheets and blankets stacked to perfection on a couple of beds. Along the walls were shelves that held plants that grew greatly in large, as well as small sizes. They were also hung from the ceiling, and next to the plants were the acupuncture needs for pressure points.
"Wen Qing?" Wei Wuxian was now seated at the tea table in the center of the Medicine Room.
"Oh, I was prepping some more herbs." Wen Qing was now smiling at Wei Wuxian. She had her normal robing of the Wen Clan though she and Wen Ning were no longer part of them.
"That's alright." He didn't like to bother Wen Qing when it came to health matters. I have to do this though...Lan Zhan will just keep worrying.
"So..." Wen Qing grabbed the gaiwan and two teacups, as she was pouring the tea, she continued her sentence, "What brings you here, Wei Wuxian?"
She grabbed her tea and began to sip slowly, as in to take in the taste of it. Wei Wuxian didn't touch his yet. "Lan Zhan and I think I could have a cold or fever. From 4 am in the morning until around the end of when the juniors finished target practice, I've been feeling nauseous."
"I see...anything else besides nausea?" Wen Qing now stood and began walking around the Medicine Room, checking on any herbs that could help with this illness that Wei Wuxian had.
"Well, I had vomited a lot today...I don't know why but the heat was kind of bad and when I had eaten in the morning, I ended up throwing it all up after. I hated that...and seeing Lan Zhan look so worried." Wei Wuxian had rambled a bit, but Wen Qing had a thought that might just change how he was thinking.
But first, she had some questions, "Have you...felt like you've been gaining weight by chance? Certain smells that you loved, you now find unbearable?" She needed to know if she was right.
"Well yeah, but that's not too weird...right?" He raised an eyebrow in a confused manner. He didn't understand where she was getting at.
Wen Qing's suspicions might be correct..."Hm, alright. Well with your permission, I think I'd like to exam you." She was serious now. It's the only logical explanation, he never gets sick like this. And he fits a lot of the symptoms too...
"Yeah, that's okay, I guess." Wei Wuxian was worried now, uncertain if he was in grave danger or if this was something that would be cured in no time.
"Oh right, when was the last time you and Hanguang-Jun were intimate?" Sorry, but I need to ask just to be safe.
"Uh...w-wait why is that important? Never mind, just um, well l-last week..." Wei Wuxian was now a mess with his words and the blush he had was growing more and more.
Well for his symptoms to be like this, it can't have been last week, and he's already gaining weight according to him so this must've been quite a bit ago.
