Hey guys! I know it's been a minute, so I want to thank you for your patience in updating this story of mine. It's my baby so I'm not gonna give up on it 😌, BUT that being said, I am in the process of making adjustments to this story.
What does that mean for you???🫵 I'll explain in the following list.
1. I will be retconning pieces of this story altogether, including previous chapters! Why? 🤔
👉 Personally, I felt my writing was lacking altogether in the narrative I was trying to build for Wangxian and Zhuiling. Also I felt as a writer, that I could do better in boosting how I would like my story to sound. It never felt mature, in terms of continuity and writing, so I'll be revising!
👉 What does that mean for you? You DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT have to reread all the previous chapters if you don't want to, however it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED and RECOMMENDED if you did. Especially in the hopes that the story's progression will make more sense looking back on the revised chapters 😶 I've also made the diction, in my opinion, better and am in the process of actually getting rid of content (plus adding some of course 😏).
2. Because of retconning, I will hold off on publishing new chapters until I'm satisfied with how I've fixed up some things. So please be patient 🙏
3. My original story idea was going to be more than just the mpreg storyline, and that is still the case, but I have to give up my plan to expand on Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen's story 😞, as well as some other details.
👉 I'll probably get rid of any overarching interactions they had in the main story and make them more subtle.
👉 Let me know if y'all want XiCheng as an Epilogue to this story, or make it it's own story to flesh out. (It'll definitely be much shorter than this one though if that's the case.)
4. I have written up to 31 chapters as of this update to you guys (so I promise I have not stopped writing this story out 😊), but I have refrained from publishing those chapters because of this revision process. I'm sorry I've kept you guys waiting, in that regard.
I'm not going to abandon this story and leave it to collect spiderwebs and dust lol

5. At the end of the updated chapters, on whichever ones needed them, I added dictionary references to the Chinese based words at the end of each chapter! I also went back and added in proper accents. (This was mostly for me since I'm trying to study Mandarin as of now, but also just in case anyone was curious and didn't feel like looking up words and each part in reference to that word along with it's meaning.) 👌
