"Huh. What are you even doing?" I squinted at Fushiguro who snuck into the building.

"I haven't seen you since a few days ago. How have you been, Ichimiya-san?" Fushiguro asked.

"Haa...I've been busy." I looked at my phone and sent a message to Minato. "That said. I'll help you in. I'm already a member of the gambling club, though."

"But-"

I tugged my scarf and let it wrap around Fushiguro's neck.

I went past this man and nodded to get in. I led Fushiguro inside the parking lot and took the stairs that led to the spectator area.

"How did you-"

"It's another thing I got while using the Black Scarf. Helps a lot. Anyway, I have something to tell you," I spoke.

"It's about the Prison Realm, isn't it?" Fushiguro guessed.

"You're right. A few hours back I stole the Prison Realm," I looked at Fushiguro whose eyes widened. "Don't be relieved. The Prison Realm I took was a fake. So there may be time we'll have to be cautious if the Prison Realm might be some fake."

"So you're saying, the Back might be a fake too?"

"Fortunately, no. The Back is the only one in existence, from what I remember. My point is, Kamo Noritoshi is already at the point of negotiating," I explained.

"Don't tell me he tried to negotiate with you," Fushiguro mused.

"Ha, he offered the Prison Realm. I refused and decided to steal it. As expected, if the Prison Realm I now possess is real, he'd be running after the Prison Realm by now," I responded.

"Are you also saying we'll try to negotiate with him too?" he asked again.

"We can't use the same tactic as our opponents. Plus, if we did negotiate, what's the point of involving Itadori in here," I pointed at the arena below.

He looks down and sighed.

"By the way, looks like your upperclassman, Panda, is here too. Hang out with him. He intentionally lost a fight with Itadori. Tell me if there's something I can do. Everything looks steady so maybe I could keep watch around here."

I waved at the first year and left.

---

"Were you able to do it, senpai?" Minato lurks out of the dark.

"Mmm...not sure if the kid gets it. But I can tell things are moving quickly," I smiled and flipped a coin.

"So where to next?"

"Can you keep an eye on the roof of the building while we go somewhere? Something is...well, I don't know. I need you with me right now and we can't just let the building left unwatched," I requested.

"Hmph, whatever."

I looked at the building behind us and whistled. "Guess we'll leave it up to them. Let's visit bratty Angel. I wanna see how she's doing."

---

"Huh, would've sworn she was in this building..." I tapped my foot gently on the concrete and exhaled a hefty breath.

"I'll go recheck the area. Watch out for anything, alright," she disappears from my sight.

I shut my eyes and concentrated on the energy above me. My consciousness searched the vast area for the Angel.

My eyes twitched. I held my right eye and gritted my teeth.

"She's a coward, isn't she?"

I tapped my watch and whispered, "She's not here. Let's search for the next area." My watch's signal suddenly gone unstable.

"....Hold....wait....something...Meet...where," and the watch shut down.

(Translation: Hold on. Wait, there's something here. Meet somewhere)

"They even cut down the signal here. It should be working in other areas," I whispered to myself. I looked down below the building, and by a few streets away, crashing and banging echoed through the empty streets.

I jumped from the building and hurried towards the noise, where I thought Minato was.

I dodged small bits of objects that flew around and about in the air.

While my senses focus on the street, a foul stench lingers under my nose. My fingers twitch to cover my nose, but something stops me from doing so.

"(N/N), don't do it."

I clutch my head that went spinning after I heard his voice.

When I return to face the street it was silent. The explosions died down. The crashing of objects was gone.

I explored the area the was now filled with cracks on the concrete and upside-down cars and trucks.

My sharp eyes catch a pair of legs lying on the floor, only finding a bloody, unconscious Minato lying there.

"Who would target her?" I crouched and treated her wounds.

She isn't affected and isn't part of the culling game. Just who would try to target her?

Cold sweat dribbled down my cheek when I heard a slow applaud behind me.

"See? This is what you get for bringing someone that is against the rules of the culling game. Now, you'll just have to face the consequences," a snicker faded down the endless district.
