(Adrian's POV)
It is Valentine's day today and it has been four months since Jesse and I have been together. Jesse is finally done with all the physical therapy and is back to normal. Despite everything that happened in the beginning of our relationship, I am the happiest I have ever been. However, today I am just not happy. It is Valentine's and I just wanted to spend my first Valentine's alone with Jesse.
He suggested we all hang out and just watch movies. Don't get me wrong I love Jane and Holly, but this is Valentine's and I had hoped that this could also be the first time Jesse and I make love. I just guess he isn't ready for that; I have to understand I would be the first guy he ever has sex with. The most we have ever done are a few blow jobs and hand jobs, don't get me wrong they were great, but I want more. I want to share that intimacy with Jesse but that isn't going to happen tonight.
I pull up to Jesse's house just as my phone goes off. 'Doors open, come up to my room. I want to give you your gift before Jane and Holly come back.' The text is from Jesse, well at least we will have a few moments alone. I grab the small gift from the seat and get out of the car.
I open the door and head up to his bedroom. I open the door to find the room only lit by candles scattered around the room and Christmas lights strung across the ceiling. He has a tray of chocolate covered strawberries; I pick up a bottle of sparkling grape juice and laugh.
"Sorry, I couldn't get us a bottle of champagne. I was kind of pushing it already by asking my parents to leave us alone here for the night." Jesse wraps his arms around my waist as he places gentle kisses on my neck. "Happy Valentine's day baby," I turn around to face him and throw my arms around his neck.
"Happy Valentine's day Jay." I kiss him on the lips.
Thanks to Holly I have gotten into the habit of calling Jesse, Jay, he seems to like it better.
"Here I thought I was going to have to share you with Jane and Holly." I look down at his chest as I play with the buttons of his shirt.
He lifts up my face and smiles at me, the smile I love because he looks so sexy with his dimples.
"You really think I would let our first Valentine's day together pass without me doing something special for you?" He leans in to kiss me, "to pass up the chance to finally be alone with you."
I close my eyes as he kisses me again, he slowly moves along my jaw as he plants soft kisses there. He moves down to my neck, the thing I really love about Jesse is he never leaves a hickey on me. He hates them because it seems the person is marking their territory. To him I am not an object, a thing he owns. No to him, I am the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
"I don't know how I could have doubted you. Thank you for this. First Valentine's day I have ever had anyone go all out for me like this. I have to have the most amazing boyfriend ever." It is true. Hector would always ditch me to take a girl out; he didn't want people to catch on why he never went out with girls.
"You're welcome baby, so do you want your gift now or after dinner?"
"Now would be good. Do you want to open mine first?" I ask.
Jesse nods his head. I hand him the small box. He opens it and takes out a small brass key necklace.
"You now officially have the key to my heart." I pull out my necklace and show him how the key fits in perfectly.
"I love it baby, thank you." He walks over to his closet and comes back with a large box. "Happy Valentine's."
I take the box from him and open it. Inside is a large red plastic heart, I lift it out with Jesse's help. It is heavy. I place it on the bed and open it. It is filled with Dr. Pepper flavored jelly beans and in the middle is a small red box. Please tell me that it isn't what I think it is. I grab the box and open it, inside are a pair of black rings with a small diamond in the middle.
