(Adrian's POV)
Life is great, right now I am in the arms of the boy I love and today we are going to our senior prom.
"I can't believe you are making Adrian go to prom." Jane says as we sit around Jesse's room.
I didn't want to go because I know it will start problems. As it is when people heard we are going together, they were trying to get us banned from going. However, thanks to our parents we are going to prom together and nobody can do anything about it. I heard some say they didn't want to go anymore. I didn't want to ruin other people's prom experience just because they couldn't accept our relationship.
"It's not like he gave me much of a choice." I state.
"This is our last year in high school and we are supposed to go to prom." I groan, "besides I feel bad I didn't get to dance with you more at my parents' wedding."
It was only that one dance because someone here thought they could do without their sling, and then he spent the rest of the night in pain.
"That one dance was enough for me. It would have been better it we didn't dance at all because then you wouldn't have been in pain." He is so stubborn sometimes.
"No matter how hard you fight me on this we are still going and we are going to dance the whole night." He kisses me on the cheek, "besides I'll be wearing a tux and you said I look handsome in one."
"They are going to hate us, as it is most people at school don't like our relationship. I'm just worried they are going to try and do something to us. You say I want to go to prom and I'm just thinking they are going to pull a Carrie on us."
Just what I need, for them to rig the prom king and queen for me and Jesse to win and then pour pig's blood on us.
"Adrian quit being so dramatic they won't do that, unless they want to face a lawsuit. You heard your parents and Jesse's parents. If anything happens to the two of you at prom, they are going to sue. So stop it and just think about all the fun you're going to have at prom." Jane says.
Easy for her to say she isn't going at all. "Well maybe if you were going, then maybe I wouldn't be so dramatic." I respond.
"Yeah, just so you two can ditch me yeah I don't think so, besides prom is more for couples and this girl here isn't in a relationship. Plus, I told Holly we are going to have a sleepover, isn't that right Holly?" Jane looks at Holly, having her here has made Jesse a lot happier.
All the regret and guilt he felt is gone because she is back and they are all a big happy family now.
"Yup sorry we are having a girl's night." Holly smiles.
I admire both Holly and Jesse. They have been through a lot but they smile like they don't have a care in the world. They didn't let a horrible experience turn them into bitter and hateful people, instead they let it make them the sweet and caring people they are today.
"Oh come on Holly we have to go get the movies and snacks for tonight." Jane pulls Holly up off the floor. "Besides the lovebirds have to get ready for tonight. Have fun you two," Jane yells as they walk out of the room.
"I'm glad Holly is around to keep her company because then you and I can have more time alone."
I turn around and sit down on Jesse's lap. "Jay, please don't make me go to prom."
"Why are you so against going to prom?" Jesse cups my face as I start to cry.
I thought I was done crying, but I was wrong.
