(Adrian's POV)
I really hate having to sneak around, but if it is the only way to be with Hector I guess it is worth it. I wait by the big oak tree that is just outside Hector's bedroom window. I watch as Hector's parents' car pulls out of the driveway. Now, I just have to wait for Hector's twin's sister, Victoria, to leave. Knowing her, it will be another hour before she leaves. I lean back on the tree and pull out my phone. I send a quick text to Jane, hoping she got over what happened yesterday. As I wait for her reply, I think about Jesse. I know it is wrong to be thinking about a guy I will never have a chance to be with. There is just something about him that intrigues me, but it is quite obvious he likes Jane. So why waste my time thinking about him, besides I have Hector even if he can't be out and open in public with me. My phone goes off, good she isn't too mad then and I read the text.
"What you want jerk!"
Okay never mind she is still mad. I shake my head. God, this girl can really hold a grudge sometimes.
"Wow, yeah I feel so loved right now. I just wanted to see how your date is going with Jesse."
"You should feel lucky I even replied back to you, after the way you acted yesterday. By the way it's not a date; I'm just trying to befriend the new kid. I don't need other innocent soul going over to the dark side."
I roll my eyes. "Ha ha ha not everyone is on the dark side, you still have me."
"Yeah right, says the boy who is waiting for his secret boyfriend's family to leave just so he can be used by that asshole. Then to be treated like crap in front of his friends. When are you going to realize you are nothing, but a cheap lay to him?"
Even in a text message she sounds so bossy. "Look I told you to drop that already, what Hector and I do is between us not you. If you are really my friend, you would just be happy for me."
"Fine, whatever, like I said yesterday when you are done with that jerk meet up with us. We are going to be at the mall all day maybe we can all catch a movie together."
"Sure. I'll call you later when I'm done."
I send the last text and place my phone back into my pocket. I really wish that Hector would make sure he knew the exact time Victoria leaves. I hate waiting. I am even tempted to just leave and meet up with Jane. If it wasn't for the fact that Hector is so good at what he does. I finally notice a car pull up and see Victoria get in, finally she is leaving. I get off the tree and start climbing up the tree to the second story window. By the time I get up to the window I see it is open, I climb in through the window. Hector isn't in the room, most likely making sure everyone is gone. I close the window and remove my sweater; I walk over to his dresser and look at all the photos he has. In the very back, he has one of me and him; it was taken when he decided to take me to a bed and breakfast in Seattle. It was the best time I ever had with him, so every time I see that photo, I just know he does care about me or else he wouldn't have it out and risk someone seeing it. I pick it up and stare at it, it was one of those rare moments I smiled. I really don't have much to smile for, other than Hector or Jane. When I have a family that barely looks at me, because they can't wrap their mind around me being gay it's hard to be happy all the time.
I put the picture back as I feel a pair of strong muscular arms go around my waist. I let out a loud yelp as I am pulled closer and Hector nuzzles my neck. I feel his hot breath against my neck as he moves up to my ear. His lips move along the shell of my ear before he nibbles on my earlobe. The things this boy can do with his tongue always made me weak in the knees.
"You know that is my favorite picture of us. I like how it truly captured how beautiful you look when you smile." Hector whispers in my ear.
"Well you give me a reason to smile," I turn around and kiss him. "So what do you have planned for us today?" I ask as I play with the hem of his shirt.
