(Adrian's POV)
I have been going to the hospital every day to see Jesse; he has been here for two weeks now. I just wish I could spend more time with him, but I have to go to school. Thank god Jesse is finally going to be released from the hospital today and we are going to finally be out for Thanksgiving break.
I know he is looking forward to it. Every day, I went to go see him be begged me to sneak in real food. He hates only eating soft food and I feel bad for him, but he is finally going to be able to have real food now. I take my time walking to his room, his dad and aunt are here to sign him out. I want to give them some time alone. I feel bad that I was always with him during his visiting hours. To top it off he is he going home with me. He has no idea that I am planning on taking him to meet my parents.
I am a little nervous about what his reaction is going to be. I haven't told him about my parents finally coming around. They want to meet him as soon as he is okay enough. They really are trying and I am grateful for that even Megan and Mark are coming around. If it goes well today I am going to invite Jesse and his family over for Thanksgiving dinner. I know that his dad and aunt aren't the best cooks in the world. Plus, he won't be able to cook himself, so why not invite them over and all my family can meet his family. I finally reach his room and I can hear him complaining that he can dress himself.
"Well, I bet if it was Adrian offering to help you get dress you wouldn't be complaining." I hear Emmy say as his dad, Craig, laughs.
Which means he is blushing; I love it when he blushes. I smile as I knock on the door and walk in.
"Hey," Jesse says as he finishes putting on his shirt. He groans as he places his left arm through the hole. "Didn't think you were coming, thought I was going to have to go home with these two."
Emmy rolls her eyes as Craig just shakes his head. "Hey, mister remember you're living under my roof, keep that up and someone isn't going anywhere for a long time."
Jesse scrunches up his nose and mumbles, I'm sorry.
"Well I guess we'll just leave you two alone while we go finish signing the paperwork." Craig says as he ruffles Jesse's hair.
"Ugh, old man I told you to stop doing that." Jesse smacks his hand away and smooths his hair back into place. Craig just laughs as he and Emmy walk out of the room. "You care to help me put on this stupid sling?"
He holds it up, I walk closer to him and take it from him. I help him put it on. I just don't understand how he can be in such a good mood all the time. He has two gunshot wounds and a sprain wrist. Most people would be in a foul mood because of all the pain they feel but not Jesse. I finish tightening the straps and fix what I need too.
"There you go, you're all set." I lean in and kiss him gently on the lips.
However, he has different plans, he wraps his good arm around my waist and pulls me closer to him. I hate when he does that, he is only going to cause himself pain when he presses up against me.
"I wish you wouldn't do that. I hate to hear you in pain. Ugh, you're so impatient. I would like it better if you wait until your shoulder heals."
Jesse chuckles as he caresses my cheek. "Baby kissing you is worth the pain."
He kisses me again; ugh, this boy is making it very hard for me to hold back.
"So you ready to go because I am dying to have a big juicy bacon cheese burger?"
He is going to be greatly disappointed when he finds out I'm taking him to meet my parents. "Well about that, um, I'm taking you back to my home."
