(Hector's POV)
I am talking to my parents in the living room; ugh, they are really taking their sweet time leaving today. I hate having Adrian wait outside, but until I can come out to my family I have to keep my relationship with him a secret.
"Now remember no parties and your sister is staying over Rachel's house for the weekend."
I nod my head as my mom continues to tell me all the things I can and can't do.
"By the way when are we going to meet this boy you have been sneaking into the house behind our backs?"
My mom asks, I just feel like my heart dropped. I don't know how they found out and now I'm going to get kicked out before I can even get my hands on my trust fund. I'm pretty sure they are going to find a way to keep me from getting it as well.
"W-what do you mean?" I ask as I watch my mom and then I look at my dad. I can't tell what they think of this.
"We mean the boy you always have waiting for you every Saturday by the tree next to your room." My dad replies.
Shit, they knew all along about me being gay, now they are going to kick me out. I'll be living on the streets because they will make sure to hold my trust fund.
"I can explain," but I don't know what to say. What can I say that he is just a friend that I didn't think they would approve of? "He is just a friend and I just didn't think you would approve of my friendship with him." I say quickly, hopefully they will believe that.
"Hector do you really think we are that stupid?" My mom says, I shake my head. "Okay, then just tell us the truth."
I take a deep breath, here it goes I am about to come out to my parents and then I'm going to be living out on the streets. "His name is Adrian Ryder and he is my boyfriend, so that makes me gay. I have always known I am gay." I say as I look at the floor. I don't want to see the disappointment in my parent's eyes.
"How long have you been seeing this boy?" My dad asks in an emotionless tone.
"For the past three years." I say quietly.
"I just don't see why you didn't tell us." My mom says.
I look up at them and I see they are smiling. What the hell is going on here? Why aren't they mad?
"You're not mad that I'm gay and I have been seeing a boy behind your back?" I ask.
"Son, I don't know where you got the impression that we would disapprove of who you date. As long as you're happy that is all that matters to us." My dad says.
I wasn't expecting this from them. I was certain they would hate me for what I am.
"So like your mom said when are you going to let us met this boyfriend of yours?"
"Um whenever you want. I just need to tell him that it's all okay because you guys know and are okay with it all." I say, I am still in shock. Now, I just need to tell the rest of the family and just come out to everyone.
"Great well whenever you get the chance invite him over for dinner sometime and we can make sure the whole family is here to meet him." My mom says. "Well we better get going and son behave yourself, we will see you tomorrow."
"I will and you guys have fun." I say as I walk them to their car, I watch as they drive off. Then, I turn to the tree Adrian always waits at and find that he is already gone. I run up to my room and find Adrian sitting on my bed. I want to tell him the good news, but I want it to be a surprise at the same time.
