Chapter 35:

---

Ray and his friends continue training the women until he is confident that they can take on everything thrown at them. While they are perturbed he is harsh on them, they at least were glad that he was THIS protective over them, that he prioritises them all over his men. Granted, Audie is leading the helm, and he is doing a good job.

However, as training continued as normal, Ray ponders about Mr. Rhee's suggestion, and tries to think of a clever, simple but intricate plan to able to integrate his thoughts to work.

He wishes to integrate women into the army, as medics or for more supportive roles. He already has the permission of the principal, but not the permission of Anzu and the student council...as well as this Public Morals Committee or whatever they go by these days.

Considering that the Military Police, while comprised of a bunch of Irish goofs, are doing a bang up job keeping order, they're probably more popular than that Committee.

Going back to thinking of a plan, Ray had John and James call upon their mother to help. The latter was afraid she might embarrass them while working there, but the former was ever so happy that their mother can actually do something productive. She did went all this way, to get her sons here, and all she does is vibe inside her apartment? While the rest of the parents were out contributing to society?

She comes back with a positive response, and that she's happy to work there, especially with her sons. Knowing this, and that she'll be going to work next week, they went and built her an estate on the ship... Yes, built... They built a simple cabin, because she would rather live backwoods than in a city-like lifestyle.

Returning to the subject matter at hand, that being the women's progress on conditioning themselves to be better fighters outside of their tanks, at the third week of Ray's stay in the carrier, he gathered them all up. Not at the arena, nor at the base...but at their garages. He told them to wear their combat uniforms—the new uniforms designed and sewn by Peter, for a sense of formality as he goes to reevaluate and grade them on their progress.

This involves grading each teams, opinions on individuals, and closing statements that they can be trusted.

Most of them were eager and excited to hear his words, and some were indifferent and remain calm and collected. A few overthink on what he is about to say, and mostly it relates to negative things. They brace themselves for a wave of criticisms, and maybe have them get sandwiched in between two slices of bread, and be called an idiot sandwich.

Ray was escorted by a military jeep, driven by Thomas and accompanied by Andrew and Matthew. He wears his General's coat this time, as a way to really set the mood in, and maybe if it gets into his head, he could be inspiring, or intimidating.

Most of his friends were already there to begin with; mostly they're there to help the ladies get organised, and keep them entertained for a while as they wait for Ray to prepare.

As the jeep rounds a corner, into the field of the garage, and halts into a stop, Ray exits the passenger seat, and planted his boots on the ground. Andrew and Matthew dismount, while Thomas remains inside the jeep.
